Advantages: They're malted milk and chocolate together Disadvantages: Bit sweet
...house.
I get my chocolate malted milks from Morrisons. 250g pack costs 78p, which ia about 3p a biscuit. I'm not a dieter, but 57calories a biscuit doesn't sound too bad to me. For the health conscious among you, each biscuit has 2.8g of fat, and 3.4g of the dreaded sugars. I measure my biscuist by the mm factor - and these have mm.
Malted milks are square biscuits, which always have a picture of a cow on them. If it hasn't got the cow - then it's ... ...they came with chocolate on them as well, then that just made my day. Unfortunately, the chocolate on them is really sweet, and they are a bit sickly. I have to say, that if I'm after a choccie biccie, then I go for a certain digestive, which isn't quite so sweet. If I have a couple of chocolate Malteds I get terrible indigestion from them, which I don't get from the plain version, so I guess it must be the chocolate.
As a confirmed 'dunker' I don't ...

...1911 and whilst that would make you very old, you might remember Frank Mars and his wife Ethel (lovely name, Ethel) making and selling a variety of butter-cream candies from a kitchen of their home in Tacoma, Washington. A few years on in 1920, Frank came up with the idea of producing a version of chocolate, maltedmilk that could be enjoyed anywhere. The result was the Milky Way bar - known in Europe, at that time, as the Mars bar. It was an immediate success.
Maltesers came along later as well as other renowned brands such as Snickers (Marathons to old gits like me in days gone by) & the more US-centric M & Ms. Malteser does appear to be a product designed for the British market judging by the number of websites offering to import the product into the US.
There's so many things you can do with a Malteser <<dips into imagination...

...Hi there Ciao! Something I haven't written about for a while- a review on food! So I sat down and thought, what can I write about? So I decided that I would let you all know about my favourite chocolate bar- the Twix.
Now I learnt a lot when writing this review, because I was trying to find out about the Mars Company, where Twix comes from.
HISTORY OF MARS (from www.mars.com)
Frank Mars and his wife, way back in 1911 decided to work on producing butter-cream candies. He and his son then decided that it would be a good idea to try and produce something consisting of chocolate and maltedmilk. The result? The Milky Way! However in Europe it was actually known as the Mars bar. They then went on to produce Snickers, M&M's and the Mars bars we know today. And I bet you didn't know that the Mars Company produce other things including...

Advantages: Cereals with lumps of chocolate Disadvantages: Actually, they taste horrid
...with visible bits of chocolate inside. It looked very appealing.
I am sad to say, though, I really could not stand the taste. It actually tasted like chocolate cardboard if you can imagine such a thing. I managed 2 of the weetabixs before I admitted defeat and threw them away. I have tried to foist them off on the children, but they too do not like them.
Nutritionally, per 40g servings (which is approx 3 tablespoons), there are 153 calories, 2.5g of fat and 0.6g of sugar. Ingredients: Whole wheat, sugar, chocolate (16% of plain and milkchocolate), malt extract, salt, flavouring, Niacin, Iron, Thiamin (B1), Riboflavin (B2), FOlic Acid, Gluten and cows milk, all in a 500g box.
Two boxes of Weetabix free to a good home...thanks for reading....
