A Spring Experience
Review of Springs Spa by
saraha007
Advantages: All the staff are very friendly and professional
Disadvantages: It is quite expensive
...had never been to Champneys Springs before and so was very excited as to what it would be like and wondering whether I might bump into a celebrity on my stay there. The resort is situated out in the countryside of Ashby de la Zouch in Leicestershire.
FIRST IMPRESSIONS
On entering the resort I felt like I had been transported into another world. A world away from problems, a very care free environment full of smiling faces and pleasant surroundings. ... ...FINAL IMPRESSION
The Champneys Springs building is very well laid out making everything there very easy to find – which is important as the last thing you want when you come to a place to relax is to find your spending half your time getting lost. All the staff there are very professional and friendly and smartly dressed. The residents there are all very friendly and want to mix with others and chat, so therefore it doesn’t matter if you go there ...

Unwind, relax and rejuvenate reading this review
Review of The Green Room by
Olgita2
Advantages: Natural products you can trust, lovely staff, opportunity to relax
Disadvantages: not a day spa, and a bit pricy
...treatment.
WHAT IS THE GREEN ROOM
Green Room is owned by body shop. Uses only body shop products, upholds and promotes body shop values. It is not a big (proper) spa. It is rather a sort of beauty clinic. You come get your treatments and leave. So again it is not a day spa resort.
WHERE IS THIS GREEN ROOM
Well it was literally 3 shops away from the place where I work, so I could just pop in before or after work. The rest of you might not be so ... ...and Victoria.
I went to the Richmond branch. I have to say it is very well hidden. There is a sign just above the Body shop, that reads Green Room, but I had to ask a body shop person for directions.
It turned out that the little door inside the body shop was a secret passageway to a staircase to heaven (aka the Green Room). There was no sign on the door or anything like that, you could think it was a staff only door or something. I found that ...

Floating Saved Me From Back Surgery
Review of Flotation Tank by
OrganicPhoto
Advantages: It's the most effective way I've found to relieve stress and back pain
Disadvantages: If you don't live near a float center, you need to own one
...that is constant about all flotation tanks is the high degree of Epsom salt used. This is what causes you to float above the water. By the way, floating above the water is the reason why a float tank must be enclosed. Otherwise, the air temperature would be much cooler than the water temperature and you wouldn't relax as deeply due to your muscles remaining tense. Having the air and water at skin temperature (94 degrees) creates the kind of comfort ... ...the growth of bacteria, making flotation tanks a cleaner environment than any swimming pool or hot tub. In addition, Epsom salt is also a mild muscle relaxant. If you float for an hour and then get a massage, you'll get far more value out of the massage because your muscles will already be warm and relaxed. I've compiled the best information I could find on the subject of floatation therapy and posted it at floatforhealth.net. I also compiled an ...

Slipping standards or higher expectations?
Review of Eden Hall Day spa (Nottinghamshire) by
mum2boys82
Advantages: Great relaxing day
Disadvantages: Staff awareness, food
I visited Eden Hall for the second time this week. I last visited about 2 years ago and I had quite a different experience this time around. For those of you who don't know about Eden Hall it is classified as a day spa (open at 8.30am close at 6pm) and is based in Newark near Nottingham.
Prices
---------
I will start with prices as I think this will later explain my overall rating of Eden Hall. You can have a basic day for just £69, or if you ... ...--------
When you arrive at Eden Hall you drive through metal gates into a fair size car park. To leave the car park you follow the signs to another set of gates that you need a code to open.
When you enter reception there are reception desks on either side of you, use which ever one has the smallest queue, or no queue at all! They take your medical questionnaire and vouchers/payment card and give you a card with your locker number on and explain ...

Sooooo Relaxing
Review of Hoar Cross Hall (Staffordshire) by
Derbygirl77
Advantages: You're left to do your own thing, even sleep if you want to!
Disadvantages: Early lunch and noise (the free ear plugs would be useful!)
...Spa which is adjacent to Hoar Cross Hall with my friend for a girl's day out and it was very relaxing and very highly recommended! The changing rooms are very clean and comfortable and in your locker you're given two towels and a very nice robe which I wore for the whole day! We booked in for continental breakfast which consisted of fresh fruit and yoghurt, pastries, bread, cheese and meats and cereals. With fruit juice and tea or coffee. The food ... ...with three courses (including a buffet of salad, vegetables and other hot food). I had a facial, eye brow shape and back massage which were all lovely, except the eye brow shape which hurt, a lot! We spent a lot of time in the spa areas and they were lovely and relaxing, but after a while, the water starts to really sting your eyes. We finished our day with champage and truffles, which are a box of six hand-made chocolates fresh out of the fridge! ...
