Advantages: Simple end to end process, good telephone support Disadvantages: Boring assignments in antisocial hours
You may well have noticed from my profile that I love going to see movies. In a bizarre, almost perverse kind of way, I enjoy bad movies almost as much as good movies and seem to have developed into something of an amateur critic. Traditionally, most of the films that I have watched have been on DVD or terrestrial television, but since I've been living in a city centre, I've found myself going to the cinema a lot more than I used to. The trouble ... ...will set you back something between £3.50 and £6.00 per film, so if you go with someone else as I always do, you're looking at £10 a throw. The idea that I might be able get some of my movie fix for free was therefore rather appealing, and once I'd read about it, I signed up for www.cinecheck.com instantly. Advantages: Get money for going to the cinema Disadvantages: Can rot the brain on a multiscreen assignment
Go to the movies, watch the ads, make notes and get paid. Just bear in mind that there's no such thing as a free lunch.

Step 2. Visit the cinema, blag your way ...

Advantages: Free Cinema Tickets, Getting Paid, good support Disadvantages: You don't get to choose the film you go to see!
I have been an auditor for Cinecheck for about 3 months now, and have seen some great films, and some absolute dross. The thing is, I get paid for it, get to take my wife with me, and have some fun in the process.
Assignments are given out on Monday, by telephone or email, and the paperwork is available for download from the site on Wednesday. This includes a letter of authority granting you free admission to the cinema to carry out your checks.
... ...simple questionnaire whilst you are watching the pre-feature adverts and trailers, making a note of what the ad/trailer is for, and the audience reaction. Apart from noting a few key times (lights down, 1st ad, 1st trailer etc) that's pretty much it. Then, you sit back and enjoy the film. If the film is playing on several screens, you have to perform the same checks on each screen, but you get paid extra for this. Technically, the cinema manager ...
