Go to the movies, watch the ads, make notes and get paid. Just bear in mind that there's no such thing as a free lunch.

You don't choose the movie, Cinecheck do. If you're lucky, the cinema management will let you stay and watch the movie afterwards, but
(a) it's usually a blockbuster so it may not be to your taste
(b) the place will be overflowing
(c) they may not let you (it's against Cineworld policy, for example) - but if you smile sweetly, you might be able to talk them into it.

For UCI cinemas, you may have to buy a ticket and get it re-imbursed. If cash flow is a problem for you, this may not be too great.

Step 1. You start by printing off a bunch of forms from a website. Then you choose the show(s) that you're going to check - I'd suggest the cinema's website. Beware - it's hard to work out how many screens the film you're checking is showing on, and you have to go in them all.

Step 2. Visit the cinema, blag your way in with the introductory letter that you've printed, then have a fun few minutes wandering around as if you own the place.

Step 3. Watch the ads & trailers, make notes. Repeat until either your brain stops working or you've been in all the screens. Don't just assume all the ads will be the same - they aren't, and I have yet to determine what wild logic they use to decide which ads go where. Trouble is, the playlists are frequently so similar that you can be half asleep before you notice that you haven't seen this ad before. Take a torch. It's dark in there and you have to write. Legibly. See step 4.

Step 4. Go home (before 10PM - don't do this as the start of a big night out!), enter what you've written down onto a website, then post all the forms you've used to Cinecheck.

Cinecheck pay £8.00 for one screen, and £1.50 for each additional one. Believe me when I say 2 is plenty - you can spend 3 hours earning £12.50 if you have to do 4 screens, and you can only watch the cutesy Renault "I'm a dog not a car" ad so many times. I do it so the trip to the movies is basically free (the payment is taxed at source). You'll never get rich.

If the above appeals to you, then I'd recommend it as a way of getting some pocket money. You'll never make a living at it.
