Advantages: user friendly website with free downloads and trailers to watch, state of the art cinemas Disadvantages: only around 20 cinemas nationwide so far - but expanding
Cineworld are one of the fastest growing Multiplex Cinema chains in the UK. Now to aid your selection of films and to book your tickets they have their very own website.
But it is more than just an online ticket booking facility.
• BACKGROUND ON CINEWORLD.
The company have multi screen cinemas in several towns near to where I live. I have visited their sites in Milton Keynes, Luton, Huntingdon and Stevenage. Those four cinemas alone – ... ...well over 250,000 people. While on my travels, I’ve also enjoyed a movie at the Cineworld in Chesterfield. All of the complexes have one thing in common – multi screens, yes, but also they are situated on an out of town Retail or Leisure Park. Thus making it easy to have a ‘night out’ and take in a film then maybe find a restaurant to have a meal and even hit the ‘club’ scene afterwards.

*** company profile ***
I don't usually do this but I went ... ...Cine UK Ltd is the proud owner and operator of Cineworld. The company has launched more multiplex cinemas since 1996 than any other UK Exhibitor, quite an achievement for such a young multiplex operator in one of the most customer-led industries in the world.
Not incredibily exciting but now you have a brief insight to cineworld now its time to find out about the website.
*** features of the website ***

Advantages: Friendly staff Disadvantages: Lack of those friendly staff
There isn't really that much to do in weymouth except the mandatory trip to the beach and shopping, so when cineworld opened here back in 1999 it gave us poor students something to do on those long winter days.
*Service
The service that you recieve in the weymouth cineworld is fairly good. The people in the box office are always happy to help you and are always very curteous. The only problem here is the fact that there is hardly ever more than ... ...for ages waiting to get into your movie. When you move over to the pop corn counter it is a bit of a different story. There are more people working there but you still end up queing for quite a long time. *Snacks
It's always been traditional to enjoy some pop corn whilst watching a movie and with almost with the same tradition cinema pop corn has to taste bad and be extremely expensive. There is no change with cineworld here. Just a quick glance ...

Advantages: unlimited cards, clean and organized Disadvantages: some grumpy staff and fussy about film ratings (ID)
I like Cineworld, but I still choose Vue over them, just because they seem to be so strict on ID! A couple of years ago (almost) when I turned 17, I was not allowed in to the Hot Fuzz movie - I needed ID to show them that I was 15 years of age. I didn't have ID, and I still don't even though i'm turning 19 soon. I showed them my National Insurance Card, which of course you don't get until your 16, but they still didn't let me through. I know this ... ...would I carry it round with me. Anyway, I went for a walk with my friend (a couple of miles into town centre) and went to Vue Cinemas, was let in straight away, and enjoyed the film! I also found out that a group of friends at college (when I was the same age), bought tickets for a 15 film, having no problems at all. When they went into the screen, the manager came in and removed them, offering them tickets to a film that was 12A or below... They ...

Advantages: Offer more than just a film Disadvantages: Food prices
The cineworld cinemas and web site are the best. The address is www.cineworld.co.uk and well worth a visit.
I regularly use both. They offer an e-mail service, which I have signed up for, and they send you the weekly listings. The benefit of being in there e-mail list is that they also send you mail to claim for free tickets. I have received free tickets for 'the Guru' and 'My big fat greek wedding' so far.
The site has more than just listings. ... ...has a section called 'coming soon' that lists films released well into next year. You can download trailers of most of these, not just read up on them. So if your like me and like to plan ahead this is a good feature.
The cinema itself offers a few special deals at a reduced rate. It has a classic film on Monday, with free hot drink. A Wednesday special and cheaper tickets on Tuesday. I love movies for juniors for £1 on a Saturday morning you can ...
