Advantages: Refreshing on a hot day Disadvantages: Takes time to taste the lime
Introduction
I am not a big fan of fizzy drinks because they always make me feel bloated, however I was tempted to buy this because I saw the TV advertisement and loved the play on words they had used to promote this new product and I quite like lime as well.
The Product
I bought a 500ml bottle, which cost me 79p. It was very easy to find this product because it comes in a lime green bottle it does, however have the traditional ... ...with Coca-Cola products.
Since I cannot see into the bottle so I will pour some out to inspect the colour, it is normal coke colour and there is a slight smell of lime, very faint actually. When I opened the bottle there was a nice fizz sound followed by the coke climbing to the neck of the bottle ready to spill out, I screwed the lid on quickly and a little over spray came through. Now I do not know whether this was my fault or the products' because ...

Advantages: Something slightly different Disadvantages: none
I've been drinking Coke for years now off and on, I seem to go through phases where I drink loads of the stuff and then go for long enough before I have even a sip again.
So when I saw the crazy its lime in the coke you nut advert apart from being amused at the advert my attention was once again drawn to the most popular drink on the planet. Now I do not by any chance belief that Coke is the best drink on the planet but it is pumped so much that ... ...the initial hype I have hardly heard a thing about Coke with lime in fact it is already on special offer in ASDA which either means it is really popular or that they can't get rid off it. Anyway I decided to partake of their generous offer of 2 six pack cans for £3, but just in case I did not take to the new drink I got one case of full fat coke and one of the new variety.
After leaving it in the fridge overnight I had my first opportunity to sample ...

81p from Tesco Metro
* Why This? *
Feeling rather thirsty, I decided to visit my Tesco Metro to purchase a drink. Something ice cold and refreshing was needed! The lime green 'limited edition' bottle was the first thing to catch my eye. I then recognised the bottle was coca cola. I just had to have this and give it a try.
Being an avid coca cola drinker, I like to try any new flavour coca cola that ... ...the plastic bottle that this coca cola was going to be icy cold, but would I like it?
Being ultra thirsty, I glugged down a few mouthfuls before even thinking about the taste. The fizzy, ice cold drink bit the back of my throat.... heaven! Then, I thought I ought to drink this more slowly! The ice cold coca cola was light tasting and refreshing. It didn't leave your mouth sticky like the original coca cola sometimes does. There was a taste of lime, ...

As I'm sure most of you know, the weather we've been having here in the UK at the moment hasn't exactly been a great time for woolly jumpers and the umbrella as it normally is. And on my way to the bank this morning I felt more than a little parched, so I popped into the local news agents for some well needed refreshment and what did I see straight away? A lime green bottle of coca-cola! 'Wow' I thought 'I love lime, I bet this will be lovely!'... ... ...was sure it would be worth. Step outside the shop, take a swig... and 'YUCK!' I don't believe I have tasted anything quite so revolting in a long time.
But I had just brushed my teeth and things don't really go too well with mint toothpaste anyway, so I thought I'd give it a second chance and keep drinking it anyway. My initial thought was that it tasted like washing-up liquid. Not even a good quality washing up liquid, something from the likes ...

Coca-Cola with Lime
I have to admit that sometimes I partake of a bottle of coke. Usually when no-one is looking or when the shop I'm in doesn't sell bottled water. Last Monday, on route to my Weight watchers class, and desperate for a drink, I ended up purchasing a bottle of this stuff from my local corner shop. It cost me 69p. Contained in a green plastic bottle, with the branded and familiar red cap, this is a limited edition offering from Coca-Cola, ... ...I found it utterly repugnant! A bottle contains 500ml and it may or may not surprise you to know that there is actually no lime whatsoever contained within it! Lots of flavourings, lots of sugar and lots of carbonated fizz, but no lime. I managed a couple of mouthfuls of the stuff before giving up, putting the top back on the bottle, and tucking the bottle away in my bag for future reference (i.e. this review!) It was not nice at all. On drinking ...

...an excellent review on diet coke with lime!
WHAT IS IT
Basically it is just regular coke with added lime flavouringsI bought mine in a six can pack from Sainsburys as it was on special offer. I would at this point say that if you are not sure if you will like it try to get hold of a single can or buy a small bottle just to try it as six packs of cocacola cost around £2.49 which is an expensive way of finding out you dont like something & a real waste of money if you end up with five cans of something you don't like! i believe it can also be bought in 2 litre bottles & the small screw top bottles. However i never buy coke in 2 litre bottles because by the time you get 2 the end of it it tends to loose most of its fizz which i think impairs the taste of any cocacola. I think to get the full flavour of lime it would be best served chilled...

Advantages: Great tasting! Disadvantages: just one is enough.
...and I really enjoy it, it is just as good as the home made stuff.
Diet Cherry Coke was introduced in 1986 - I have never actually tried this, it doesn't seem to be on sale as many places as the Cherry Coke, if I did see it I would try it.
Other flavours include original Coke, Diet Coke, CocaCola Black Cherry Vanilla, CocaColaLime, CocaCola Lemon, CocaCola Vanilla, CocaCola Diet Cherry, and CocaCola Zero.
As well as different flavours of Coke CocaCola are also retailers for Fanta and Sprite.
The Company:
CocaCola is probably the most successful soft drink manufacturer in the world; Dr John Stith Pemberton discovered the Syrup in 1886, he was unaware of its greatness and sold it on to various partners.
In 1889 Asa Candler became the sole owner of the company and started to publicise its existence and it began to become...
