this a comment actually on the clearance site, which is accesed from the main site(ww.comet.co.uk). its possible to buy the same range of goods as from the main site, although you have to register and provide credit card details if you want to bid. ifd you see an item you want to bid on i would advise checking the details first, stock can be pristine,or lacking a box,or scratched or dented. my own experience having bought a dishwasher that was allegedly dented ,was that after it arriveddc and checking for dents, was that it had a very small dent on the side as if it caught on a nail, one minor complaint, was that the inlet hose andone of the lege was missing. back to bidding each auction runs for a set time ,which is clearly displayed,as well as relevant things like minimum bid increment etc. should you be outbid before the close of auction comet advises you by e-mail,and you also receive an e-mail reciept for each bid you place. a minor gripe is that sometimes there is a scarcity of items ,so it isnt much use if you have to replace an item in a hurry. the site is laid out fairly well no garish colours or such, and each new page loads quite quickly

Interesting as this is, I'm sure there's a lot more on offer at this site than the clearance auctions.
