Bought a TomTom sat. nav. on the 9th of January 2006, packed in on the 28th of February and Comet are not interested. £259 for about 7 weeks use. That's about £1600 a year to have a working TomTom One if you buy them from Comet. I quoted all the relevant laws about durability and contracts being with the shop not the manufacturer etc. They asked me to leave the shop. Their policy appears to be not to refund until you start court proceedings. He would not accept that their policy does not exempt them from their obligations under the sale of goods act etc.

you obviusly just see this as an oportuinity to slate one of the UKS largest retailers. if you know your consumer rights and "laws" you would know that the company is within there rights to make the good worthly to use, regardles of age, although 28 days exchange is out of goodwill, please consider this before you go guns blazing, shouting gets you know where with a retailer, i know this i work for COMET

Advantages: Website easy to Navigate, some prices heavily discounted from store price Disadvantages: Didnt deliver as promised, little weekend back up support for complaints
