I went on Cool Diamond's website following a recommendation of one of my female colleagues, she had actually chosen her ring from their show room in London and had been delighted with the whole experience. Due to time constrains I was not able to travel to London and decided (reluctantly) to go and buy my ring online. First I choose a shortlist of Jewellers selling diamond rings online. Some of the websites like Blue Nile or 365 diamonds looked interesting ... ...have a UK address on their website and the latter only had a post office box as an address. I have bought enough online to know that if something goes wrong you want a company in the UK with a proper postal address you can visit.
It was interesting to note that most of the websites seem to sell exactly the same ring designs, Cool Diamonds however seemed to have a fuller range with a choice of designer or classical rings. I then decided that I wanted ...

On the suggestions from some users, here's the extended review - When my wife and i got engaged we couldn't afford a real diamond in her ring, so made do with a couple of real baguettes and a fake centre stone. On our 4th Anniversary I decided it was time to swap it out for a real one.
After spending quite a while on the internet and phone I went with Cool Diamonds, mainly based on price and the fact that they had GIA certified stones. Their website ... ...but specifically based around diamonds of course (ie, nothing here of you're after other precious stones). It would be very simple to select a ring style from the 40-odd examples then customise your diamond by weight, colour, clarity and proportions/symmetry. nice website with very clear pricing structure and large selection of cool designs i felt that they wanted to have a more designed range of jewellery with items from versace, oldfield ,conran. They answered my emails within 24 hours and were very helpfull on the phone. The final product did the trick and satisfied my partner and thus me.
