Advantages: alternative to traditionally large auction sites, UK hosted Disadvantages: user privacy not enforced, lacks basic features
...are pages located on the CQout.com server. While I understand that transparency is of importance I vehemently deny the need for indexing profile and rating-related pages using search engines. Not only does it give quick access to private information to (possibly malicious) users but it is also in violation of the CQout privacy policy stating "CQout does not pass on [...]personal data to any third party [...]". By letting search engines have access ... ...not sell or otherwise distribute its registered user list to any third party without prior permission." I understand that anyone trying to lookup a user in CQout should be able to do so but this functionality should be provided from within the CQout website and *not* by a search engine. I will, if necessary, seek professional advice regarding internet privacy policies and inform relevant bodies. I urge you to take appropriate action and expect a ...

Advantages: Clear well laid out site Disadvantages: nothing to report yet
With Yahoo auctions shutting up shop, I thought I better take a look around and see what else I could find, and I came across www.CQout.com which I thought was worth a mention.
First thing I noticed is that CQout charges commission and even charges £1 for registration. Not at all like Yahoo which was all free, but then again, you don’t need to be a Harvard Business School graduate to figure out that you don’t have a business if you don’t charge ... ...millions was poured down the drain by Yahoo proving that obvious point?…. but that is a different story.
Back to CQout… So OK it costs to join and it charges commission, but it does not charge a listing fee like eBay and a lot of other auctions. EBays listing fees can add up to quite a lot if you list a dozen items and half of them don’t sell, I have been stung that way many times.
I liked the concept that users are properly checked out at registration ...

Advantages: The money you pay to register goes to charity Disadvantages: almost everything on the site
CQout is a auction site I discovered about a two week's ago and I was amazed there was a type of auction site I had not yet seen or heard of.
So I gave it a week's trial and it seemed ok for the first few day's but then I did not get no bids at all.So I waited until the end of all of my auction's to see if someone had bid on them and no-one did.
I contacted the auction master and put in the e-mail I have listed 57 items and not one of them got ... ...sorry but it is not our problem if you do not get any bid's on your auction's".So i replyed to that and said and I quote this
can you please tell me how many visitor's you have on your site per month".And the auction master said we have well over 100 thousand a month.
I then said so how comes you have hardly got any member's and she did not respond.
I then tried a test I asked the auctionmaster if there was any job's and she said well you can ...

Advantages: Clear and simple to use Disadvantages: £1 to register
I first came across CQout when I did a search for auctions in a search engine, I was looking to see if there were any new sites.
The search engine listing said something like “ Seek out a real bargain at CQout…”. I was glad it was put that way because I would have never got what CQout stood for .. Clever, maybe a little too clever !!
I registered which cost £1, at first I thought what a cheek, but straight away I was beginning ... ...to check the user’s true credentials, and I liked the fact that some sort of checking was going on.
I liked the simple and clear layout of the pages. It has all the features and information other auction sites have but it doesn’t look cluttered. I guess that is the difference between good and bad design.
The days that I was looking at the site there were around 5000 items which is not as much as some of the bigger auctions but there ...

Try CQout.com It is Safe and easy
I have used CQout.several times to both buy and sell. I have bought a variety of items such from CD writer and Blank CDs to a golf balls and a 7 wood. The latter even came with free and helpful advise from the seller ( a professional golf outlet).
I have sold a number of specialised items of equipment to the Dental Profession. In all cases, the transactions were straightforward, honest and business-like.
The items ...
