I first came across CQout when I did a search for auctions in a search engine, I was looking to see if there were any new sites.
The search engine listing said something like “ Seek out a real bargain at CQout…”. I was glad it was put that way because I would have never got what CQout stood for .. Clever, maybe a little too clever !!
I registered which cost £1, at first I thought what a cheek, but straight away I was beginning to like the site because the £1 registration fee was to check the user’s true credentials, and I liked the fact that some sort of checking was going on.
I liked the simple and clear layout of the pages. It has all the features and information other auction sites have but it doesn’t look cluttered. I guess that is the difference between good and bad design.
The days that I was looking at the site there were around 5000 items which is not as much as some of the bigger auctions but there was plenty there. There were not that many bids either, but that made it a bargain hunter’s paradise for me.
You always have a dilemma in these situations, Do you tell others that you have found a great site and by doing so crowds rush in and spoil it for you or do you keep it to yourself? Well I decided I had my bargains and there is more than I could ever want.
