Advantages: Delivered when stated Disadvantages: Cheap build
I build PC's for a living so when it came to replacing my own PC I thought 'sod it, I'll get someone else to do it'. The main reason I went for Cube is the fact that they would let me add components to my own system rather than have the rule that most companies have where if you open the case you void the warranty. I also checked with them that if something did need replacing they would be happy for me to send the faulty part to them and they send ... ...to send the whole PC away.
I have to say that after spending £1300 approx on my system I wasn't very impressed. Firstly, I know the case isn't everything but when you spend that much money on a system you expect it to at least look good. My case looks and is very average. Secondly, the specs stated a deluxe Intel motherboard so I expected a better than average motherboard made by Intel, especially seeing as some of their other systems had Asus motherboards ...

Advantages: Awesome computers, great customer service, brilliant delivery times Disadvantages: None that i can think of
...long time I came across Cube247.co.uk (I actually found them on ebay where they sell items). I read their policies about only using the best components for their computers etc and after a bit of research i found that this was true; for example they use corsair RAM, currently the fastest RAM available.
This did not stop me from searching for other computers, however after a while i realised that i wasn't going to get a better computer for the same ... ...buy from cube I had the choice of what to get. Cube offer both base systems (only the computer, no monitor etc) or package systems (computer, monitor, keyboard, mouse and speakers). They also offer all of their computers with either AMD or Intel processors (single or dual core). There is a large selection from cube, starting from their basic packages (3.2GB processor, 512MB Ram etc) for £375 which i think is an amazing package for a basic user as ...

Advantages: Good notional specification Disadvantages: Very poor build quality, attempt to avoid consequences
I purchased a Cube computer in August and agree that the specification is very good for the price. Like many others I purchased the machine with a return to base warranty.
Upon arrival the machine had a poorly fitted card reader which I contacted them about and they agreed that I try and re-seat it myself, which was successful. Almost immediately I had a problem with one of 3 disc drives not being recognised, but not all the time. They sent a set ... ...I put the computer into standby mode and immediately there was a loud bang - the end.
I then had to return the machine to base. They replaced the power suplly and somehow sorted out the disc recognition problem, but they returned the machine with loose front face plates.
Cube will not refund my courier fees, standing behind the "return to base" terms for a computer which was clearly a "Friday afternoon special" and which died after only three weeks ...

Advantages: Good Prices and choice Disadvantages: Not supplying Products offered, Poor aftersales
I was buying a full pc system and after looking through the Cube247 website decided on their Serpens ST7 system with upgraded memory and processors which brought the total price including delivery to over £1250. For this money it was to be delivered ready to start up and use having been fully tested at their workshops. The system arrived in the specified time but the Windows Vista Operating system was only partially installed and therefore was not ... ...call Cube247 with a couple of queries about the BluRay system, they were helpful over the phone but the remedied offered did not solve the problem and I ended up having to contact the manufacturer of the DVD unit and get a patch from them direct to cure it. Had they done as promised and tested the system at their workshops the issue would not have arisen and while they were helpful and polite on the phone they seemd to want you off the phone as quickly ...

Advantages: Friendly pre-sales Disadvantages: Badly built system and no after-sales help despite warranty!
Avoid these guys like the plague!!! Once they have your money they wont give you the time of day!
We spent £3000 on 2 systems (boxes only) and we've had no end of problems that we've had to spend our own money repairing. While the majority of the components are of sound quality we were lied to about the exact spec before purchasing. The systems were put together by chimpanzees with missing components and insanely dodgy wiring, they passworded the ...
