I was buying a full pc system and after looking through the Cube247 website decided on their Serpens ST7 system with upgraded memory and processors which brought the total price including delivery to over £1250. For this money it was to be delivered ready to start up and use having been fully tested at their workshops. The system arrived in the specified time but the Windows Vista Operating system was only partially installed and therefore was not tested as described. I finished the install and had to call Cube247 with a couple of queries about the BluRay system, they were helpful over the phone but the remedied offered did not solve the problem and I ended up having to contact the manufacturer of the DVD unit and get a patch from them direct to cure it. Had they done as promised and tested the system at their workshops the issue would not have arisen and while they were helpful and polite on the phone they seemd to want you off the phone as quickly as possible.
My major concern however is that the monitor sent with the system was not the one advertised on their website. It clearly states that a 22" Hanns G monitor is supplied with the system but on arrival it had a Chimei 22". I contacted Cube247 immediately and was told that Hanns G monitor was currently unavailable and that the Chimei was of equal quality. I asked why they had not contacted me and asked if the replacement was ok or I wanted to upgrade the monitor but they said that they did not feel that was nescessary.
I have used the system now for coming up on 2 weeks and I feel the Chimei monitor is not of equal quality and has lost its resolution settings several times during this period. I called again to ask if the monitor could be replaced but was told that if I felt there was a fault I should contact the manufacturer of the monitor directly. I stated that the advert on their website clearly stated that a Hanns G monitor was included and that I felt they were at fault supplying me with an inferior quality monitor without informing me prior to delivery. They were adamant that they were right and offered me no resolution to my complaint.
I believe that the price of the system was reasonable but Cube247 has let themselves down badly with a slightly shoddy build and a particularly bad aftersales service which seems to have no consideration for how the customer feels. On hindsight I would rather pay a few quid more and get better treatment after the purchase. I would unforunately now NOT recommend them to anyone wanting a system all because of something that could and SHOULD have been resolved instantly.
