For people who love to cook
Review of cucina.co.uk by SueMagee

Advantages: Quality products carefully packed and quickly delivered.
Disadvantages: Can occasionally be more expensive than their competitors.

I've shopped with cucina direct on several occasions over about eight years. In fact when I started shopping with them they were called Divertimenti and they were better known for their rather swish London shop than for their mail order operation. My first purchase was from one of their early mail order catalogues and the toaster which I wanted arrived quickly, was well-packed and the whole transaction was efficient and as painless as buying an expensive ...
...a year and they've always been a delight to leaf through. Looking at the latest edition (for Spring 2003) it's full of rather expensive cooking equipment such as Mermaid baking trays, beautiful china and cutlery and lots of gadgets to make cleaning easier. Each issue contains a couple of recipes, and this time it's waffles and a carrot and celery drink. I discovered the website when I was looking for some plain, white china mugs and discovered exactly ... Read review

Yep - I would recommend them
Review of cucina.co.uk by StephenBargewell

Advantages: Quick, Efficient, Reliable Service - Good Quality Products
Disadvantages: Not a huge choice - can be a tad pricey

They tend to stock the better quality cookware and so can seem quite expensive but then the quality of goods AND the excellent service I think makes it worth paying a slight premium, rather than risk putting up withthe ...
...bargains can sometimes be found on sale, however. The site is quite easy to use and pictures/descriptions fairly good - although for an e-shop I guess its what you expect nowadays. Slight downside might be the fairly small range of items but then I would rather they maintained a higher quality rather than filled their catalogue with cheap junk. ... Read review

Speedy delivery? I wish!
Review of cucina.co.uk by Citygirl23

Advantages: Good, if expensive, product range
Disadvantages: Abysmal service

I can't believe that these other reviews are about the same website! I placed an order with this website a few months ago. I didn't receive a confirmation or, after a month, the product, so I ordered again. This time I received a confirmation, at least. A month later I was charged twice (both orders had apparently registered), but three weeks later had seen neither products nor any evidence of attempted delivery. I'm still trying to get a refund.... ...
...albeit not at particularly good prices, but seems totally incapable of delivering. It blamed problems on suppliers and Royal Mail (my exprience of RM has generally been very good), rather than admitting its own failure. I recommend avoiding this site and its sister company Scotts of Stow (they did manage to deliver after a month, but the product was broken!) . ... Read review
