Advantages: You can get candy from America without having to travel thousands of miles. Disadvantages: Customer service could be better, and it ain't cheap!
Set aside your wine gums and liquorice allsorts for a while, and let yourself drift into a world where Airheads are more than just people that work in KFC, Tootsie Pops aren’t just something you get when you’ve had too many sprouts for dinner and M&M’s come in 6 (yes, that’s right kid’s, SIX) different flavours. Welcome to the world of Cybercandy.
If any of you have ever been to the US, you will have realised that, ... ...the UK sweetie scene is severely lacking compared to our transatlantic allies. All this has changed however, with the help of a scheduled freight plane, a lorry and a rather large London warehouse. Some bright (and now rich probably) spark had the idea of buying it bulk in the US of A and shipping it here, to sell (at much higher prices) to us sugar thirsty brits.
The site
The site is well designed and very easy to navigate. The shopping cart and ...

Hands up. Who doesn't like chocolate?, OK, hands up who doesn't like sweets?. And finally hands up those who doesn't like beef jerky? Right go away abnormal people this op is definitely not for you!! Well, I'm a bit of a sweetie monster, gone off chocolate bars a bit, but do like small sweets covered in chocolate. Anyway I was getting rather bored with the selection in the UK, having tried practically everything on the market I was disillusioned ... ...white chocolate bar with Smarts in it. Obviously my life is way too boring and I need to get out more :( However motivated by a review that I had read that told me about this lovely site that sold lots of odd goodies I decided to pop on over and boy, was I disappointed! It looks cheap and not very well constructed, but undeterred I decided to keep on looking and see what this magical place had to offer. And I have never seen such a bunch of revolting ...

Advantages: You can't get the sweets anywhere else (exept abroad) Disadvantages: Is a bit expensive
I love sweets. HOwever, I am always on the lookout for something new - CyberCandy (or CC) provides this.
CC sells confectionary from nations such as Japan, china, USA, and Australia. There are wonderfully ornate/retro Japanese candys, and sweets that we are more used to - like the US version of SKittles and M&Ms (they are slightly diferent in both texture and taste). The Japanese candy in particular is wonderful. The packaging on some items is really ... ...kids or sweet-toothed family members, need look no farther.
The site is clearly laid out ; the candy separated into the various nations. Within the nations candy, there is yet another separation - between chocolate and non-chocolate items. I found this particularly useful, as I do not like chocolate and was thus able to just look at the non-chocolate items. All the items have pictures and descriptions. There are also handy buyer reviews which can ...

Advantages: Try sweets from different countries Disadvantages: A bit expensive!
Have you ever wanted to try Japanese sweets? Or maybe Chinese sweets? Or maybe even a chocolate bar with a real, edible scorpion inside? And if that's not your sort of thing I'm sure edible crickets coated in fine milk chocolate would be appealing. Nope I'm not taking the piss here you really can buy all of this - all kinds of sweets from all over the world!
Cybercandy is divided into seven departments where you can view the types of sweets for ... ...the different nations that they come from. Cybercandy sell sweets from Britain (although many of the British sweets are new to me!!) Japan (weird and wonderful sweets with funky packets with hip writing on) USA (Sweet, sickly crap that's probably got every single chemical that exists in it) Australia (Snakes, insects, lizards - Crocodile Dundee anyone? Just joking, lovely sweets from down under) China (more weird and wonderful stuff with hip writing!!) ...

Advantages: unique Disadvantages: little pricy but worth it
If you love sweets and are not afraid to try something different then this is the site for you. Cybercandy is an e-tailer of confectionary from around the world, USA, Australia, South Africa, Japan, China and New Zealand (although other countries do pop up from time to time). Like many retail sites you can search for products in various ways - according to their country of origin, main ingredient or type or just browse through the many products (either ... ...very easy to navigate and pleasing to look at.
On sale are sweets from around the world eg Green Tea Gum, Giant Freddos, Lifesavers, cinnamon Tic-Tacs, or Muscat Gummy. The sweets can all be viewed together with a description which I have found to be pretty accurate. These are best viewed online rather than in this opinion as there are so many things to choose from and taste is very subjective. The prices are a little on the high side compared with ...
