When it came time to build my new PC, Dabs was the company that I chose for nearly all my parts. After looking through several catalogues I chose Dabs for several reasons, firstly they had some of the best prices available and secondly they offer a price matching scheme whereby they will match any available price, subject to conditions. They had most of the items in stock and available for delivery, I ordered a new graphics card for £35 less than any other supplier. Some items were delivered from a different depot so there were two deliveries and one item was out of stock and delivered 2 days later than the rest, In total there were 3 deliveries but I only paid for one.

Before I bought anything I spoke to the technical support to find the exact items I wanted and any requirements that I was unaware of. The support was pretty good I found out most of the information I needed to know, they did miss a couple of things such as a specific power supply and memory being required, but overall the support was good.

The only problem I have had is returning goods, whilst my hard drive was immediately exchanged my motherboard needed to be tested. I had difficulty finding out what was going on and when my replacement would arrive, but once I spoke to the right person it was all sorted quickly.

The odd thing about the technical support was that the post sales support knew all about the power and memory specifics, which the pre sales neglected to mention. The phone support is probably the biggest drawback with Dabs, it took up to 30 minutes to get through to sales at several times during the day, and the support lines kept me hanging for just as long.

Overall I would recommend Dabs, the prices as some of the most competitive around and the price matching is a great idea. Most products are in stock and any that are not are quickly obtained, the phones and support were the only letdown, but I have found this to be true of nearly everywhere I have bought computer items from.
