a very frustrating experience
Advantages good and easy website, relatively cheap
Disadvantages difficult payment process, stock indications not correct
Today I have been trying to order some items from the store (the website), which turned out to be a very frustrating experience and I ended up having to order from another store.
At first, I was pleasantly surprised by the ease of use of the website. It looks clean, items are easy to find. I also noticed that they have a very large stock of items (or so they claim...more about that later) and prices are definitely cheaper than at bricks & mortar stores (but not necessarily cheaper than at other online stores).Registering with the site (as a first time buyer) was a breeze and I immediately got a confirmation e-mail. The ordering process was also easy and straightforward, but the big problem seemed to be credit card payments (visa debit card). It was the first time ever that I had problems with this and even after using 2 different cards, their system did not seem to accept. I must be more specific here: the system confirmed my order but about 4 hours later I received an e-mail that the 'toronto dominium bank' could not approve my card. I am not surprised as my card was issued by citibank! This happened again with a second card and again 4 hours later....
Another problem was that whereas they indicated on the site that they had plenty of stock, my order confirmation showed that one of the items was out of stock and had to be ordered!!!Anyway, I ended up buying at wstore.co.uk, which I will reveiw once I have received the goods. The funny thing was that one of the items at this store was significantly cheaper than at dabs.com and one of the items slightly more expensive.
Although it was a highly frustrating experience (as I needed the items fast), it seems that I am better of in terms of price....lucky me!!

ooooh - sounds a little iffy on the payment side - can't say I have come across this company personally, would be interested to know a little more about their product ranges, delivery times and costs etc. Sue
