Advantages: Large selection of deals to suit all customers Disadvantages: Poor service, bad attitude at times
I decided that I wanted to upgrade my mobile, and I really liked the look of the Nokia 8210, so I had a look at the national newspapers to see what deals were on offer. I had seen Dial-a-phone advertising most weeks, and the adverts they place are normally colour and a decent size, so they are easy to remember.
Dial-a-phone seemed to have an excellent deal on offer with Vodaphone. £17.99 per month, 3 months free line rental, 3 months free insurance ... ...and a free 8210. They also offer deal with O2, Orange and T Mobile on a huge range of tarrifs. Most include an itemised billing charge of £1 per month whether you like it or not.
Being the Internet lover that I am (I am becoming increasing poor at face to face contact!), I tried to place the order on the website, but it failed to load more than once, so I gave the freephone order number a call. The website itself was very easy to naviagte though, ...

How do you dial for a phone if you don’t have one to start with? Well if you have a PC it’s as easy as ABC!
Dial-a-phone.co.uk is the UK’s leading specialist supplier of mobile phones direct to the consumer (or at least that’s what they tell us)

All this means is that if you are looking for a new mobile and are not concerned with keeping the same mobile phone number or your existing contract they could offer you a fantastic deal. All dial-a-phone offers are subject to a 12-month airtime agreement with one of the major networks. They offer different tariffs with Orange, T-mobile, O2 and Vodaphone. If you require ...

Advantages: Free phone, cheap tariff and money back scheme Disadvantages: been with them for 18 months and havent found one yet
If you are thinking of getting a contract mobile phone it is worth considering dial a phone. They have really changed in the past few years and concentrated on what the customer wants.
To get a contract phone with them the first thing to do is to go to their web site at www.dialaphone.co.uk and look at the phones that you can have as it is a good idea to have some idea of the phone they are talking about.
Next telephone their freephone line number ... ...on certain phones. You will find that they have the latest and maybe a freebie added. This month it has been a clock and an ipod which isnt bad.
When you have chosen your phone they will take your details and arrange a delivery date which is usually in two days.
They do say you have to be there to personally sign for it but I did find that they accept anyone who is in the house at the time of delivery!
Once you have the phone you charge it up, ...

Advantages: You won't need a map and compass to get around. Disadvantages: New handsets slow to appear; prices average.
Continuing in the tradition of ridiculously-named mobile phone retailers, Dial-a-Phone (let's just call it Dap from now on) is a pure-play online retailer that was spawned out of the rise of mobile phones, cheap, off-the-page advertising in the back of the Sun and of course the increase in internet usage and people buying online.
I've not bought a phone from Dap (only ever used their customer services to make enquiries), but a close friend of mine ... ...W800i on Orange with 6 months half price line rental (usually 35 quid per month). He got a really good deal on a handset he loved, and never had a bad word to say about them. Maybe it was because he didn't expect too much in the first place. Anyway, this review is as much about the quality of their very simple website, and having worked for three large .coms I have a rough idea of what makes for a good'un.

The Dap site must have ...
