Review of "directcosmetics.com"
Here’s another great site for us ladies that are always in search of a bargain… your going to love this one Moose! As the name of the site suggests, it is an all round cosmetics site that sell everything from make-up to bubble bath, Perfume to razors and all at a reduced price. Direct Cosmetics Ltd is a family firm that has been selling branded cosmetics, & fragrances directly to the UK public since 1977, at prices up to 90% off the UK Recommended Retail Price (RRP).
The main page is very clean but bright looking. Here you will find all the links to the rest of the site.
There are three methods of search available. You can search by :
1) Manufacturer – a complete A-Z of many, if not most, of the top brands.
2) Product Range – here you can search for a particular make/item.
3) Keyword – if you know exactly what you want, rather than going through the product range, just enter your item in the search and if they stock the item it will show.
As suggests, you will find all new products on the site here. I have just looked at this section and there are currently 39 new products available. This section seems to be updated regularly.
Here you will find some of the best bargains on the site, although not all of them. One on there at the moment is “Superlast Cream Lipstick (berry cream)” by “Estee Lauder” for “4.95 and RRP is £12.00, that’s a saving of £7.05
Do you have a beauty question you would like answered? Perhaps you are not sure what cream would best suit your skin or maybe what colour make-up to wear for a wedding, then email Molly with your question and she will email you back within 48 hours with an answer.
This is the same as most sites, you see what you want and add it to your shopping bag. When you have finished “shopping” you proceed to the checkout. There is displayed at the top of the page what stage of the purchase you are at.
Stage 1) Checkout.
Stage 2) Here you will be given the option to login or register, so any further purchases from the site will be easier as they will have your details stored, or you can continue with your purchase only.
Stage 3) You put your personal details (name and address)
Stage 4) Your delivery details. At the bottom there is a box to tick if this is the delivery address. If you un tick the box then you can put in another delivery address.
Stage 5) Payment details. They except Visa, Delta, Master Card, American Express and Switch.
Stage 6) Confirm order.
At all times the ordering/purchase is very clear and simple to use.~Delivery~
Delivery is by Royal Mail Recorded Delivery for small orders or by Parcelforce for large or bulky orders. It is one delivery price per order no matter how small or big, which is £3.95. The delivery charge may sound a bit high but the great savings you make on products will easily out-weigh the p+p.
You really need to check the site regular so that you don’t miss out on a bargain as the stock does change regularly. My mum has been after a bottle of “Vanilla Fields” by Coty for a while now. Me being the bargain hunter (cheap skate really) that I am, I went on the hunt for a bottle at a good price. I managed to find it on Directcosmetics for £2.45 when RRP is £12.95, Bargain, so I ordered two bottles. Mum will love me when I give it her next week!
