Advantages: Cheap ( or so it seemed until I was getting 30m2 for the price I thought I was getting 50m2 for). Disadvantages: Lies and excuses when the product paid for does not turn up, after being misinformed.
I ordered some Elastilon Basic adhesive underlay for my solid wood flooring. I needed 45m2 for the job (2 rooms), and had to speak to someone to order, as the description on the net didn't have any quantity details.
I knew it was available in 50m rolls, so asked about these. I was told that they stocked 25m2 rolls, so I ordered 2 of those. When they arrived in about 1 week, they were 15.3m2 rolls, so I was obviously short. When I spoke to Directflooring2u, ... ...until I could get someone to admit that the item in question was supposed to be a 15m2 roll, and they'd made a mistake in advising me that they were 25m2 rolls. As they were still about £50 cheaper for the 2 x 15m2 rolls than a 50m2 roll elsewhere, I agreed to accept a third 15m2 roll for £66 (at "cost price"), for the sake of convenience. Advantages: None Disadvantages: the worst internet company i have ever had to deal with
We had a floor fitter organised for fitting on a Monday with a delivery date promised by them for the Friday beforehand, I had to take a day off work as they do not promise a delivery time but Friday came and went with no delivery on Monday with a floor fitter ready we still had no delivery we rang on Monday morning where they were very rude on the phone and said we were "liars and they did not believe we even had a floor fitter ready" why i have ... ...morning before 10.30 but that too came and went and wasn't delivered till 5.00 Tuesday which was incorrect. We rang numerous times only to be left on hold, or told they would ring back but never did and we were speaking to the manager!! They also go by the name of Stockport flooring or Complete flooring ...

Advantages: Dont have to buy the full box when you just need a few tiles. Disadvantages: Cant find anyone who will split packs on laminate flooring.
...have found somewhere online called DIRECTFLOORING2U.co.uk that lets me buy just the odd tile on the entire Karndean range. Now when I need 3boxes and 5 tiles I no longer have to buy 4 full boxes. Better late than never! Now all I wish for is someone who sells laminate per plank (especially Quickstep and Pergo). Does anyone know of a seller who does this? It just does not seem fair that I have to pay for 10 pieces of something when I only want one! ...
