Advantages: easy to use Disadvantages: no price match guarantee online
This website is really well laid out and is very useful if you're a busy person and need info quick. The special offers section is particually good and the pictures are big enough and clear enough to make sure you're buying the right thing without seeing it. B&Qs price match promise is great. No only will they refund the difference but they'll also give you 10% extra. The only problem is that this doesn't apply online so watch out.
The learning ... ...tasks such as ... fitting kitchens, tiling and plastering - just print off and away you go.
Great website if you need opening times, nearest branch, contact details ect. Vey easy to navigate. Layout
Couldn't fail to forget it was B&Q - simple but effective

Advantages: It's at the end of my road Disadvantages: They blatently lie
I had a quote for a kitchen on 20th November 08, nice, the lady came to my house and did the CAD to show me what the kitchen would look like, but I felt the installation costs were a bit steep so I shelved it for a couple of weeks, reasoning that the cost of the actual kitchen would be unlikely to change, and I would get a couple of quotes from some independant fitters for comparison.
I was very pleased to find that, immediately after christmas, ... ...Based on this offer, I would save £1300 on fitting alone, never mind the half price kitchen - much better than the price the independants were likely to be able to offer.
So I hot-footed down to my local store to have them re-jig my quote and waited excitedly for it to come through the door. Imagine my shock when comparing the new and old quotes that the cost of installation has roughly DOUBLED since my quote 6 weeks ago (how convenient) and the ...

Quick review of diy.co.uk ( B & Q )
Bathroom supply and installation
Advantage: Good discount and interest free terms
Disadvantge: Installation incomplete even after 7 weeks.
Delivery and supply of goods ordered - incomplete, all the goods ordered not delivered, wrong items delivered.
Installation by contractors - unsatisfactory - did not start on due date. It has taken over 7 weeks the installation
Two B & Q appointed contractors employed, shoddy workmanship by first contractor.
No response from store manager, sales and design person or Customer service Manager on complaining and writing about shoddy workmanship and delay in supply of goods.
Excess damage to carpets and furniture as a result of faulty installation of plumbing feeding water to the washbasins.
Lot of inconvenience, mess and stress. Avoid B & Q.

Quick review of diy.co.uk ( B & Q )
The B&Q website is a joke. Although there is an advert in the paper for a loft ladder for less than £30, can we find it on the website? No way. It has all the ease of access of a labyrinth.
Past experience of B&Q hasn't proved to be a great experience. The parts of a kitchen were delivered in four separate bits, and that only after much hassle.
All in all, I'd recommend shopping elsewhere, online and otherwise. ...

Quick review of diy.co.uk ( B & Q )
I recently purchased sliding wardrobe doors from B&Q in Plymouth. After taking the first set back, the second set proved there to be a fault in the design.
Despite the display set in store showing the same problem, the staff were unwilling to accept liability and one member of staff was extremely rude.
The customer service via the store and the telephone were both dreadful.
Having provided B&Q with a lot of custom whilst building our extension, we would expect a higher quality of customer service. ...
