Advantages: Fun cartoon graphics

Dobedo is not just plain old chat. The site is very graphical. Instead of just seeing lots of text on the screen, you pick a cartoon character type face to represent yourself. This character can then move this around the various locations of an imaginary island. It's all very colourful and looks good, but, obviously you have to wait for the graphics to load. You get your own dobedo email account when you join and there's a kind of sense of community. ...

I decided to try DoBeDo about six months ago after reading reviews and press coverage about the site. The site is very clearly laid out and allows you to try out the chat without signing-up or giving any personal information. If you click on 'try it out as tourist' you are on in less than a minute and you can try out the site without the hassle of signing-up. This site has a very fresh feel to it! The layout is cool and different. The way you can make yourself look how you want is also very original. This site is good if you want a laugh and the rest of your mates are on as well. But if you are looking for a serios chat with someone than this really isn't. I think Dobedo is a good chat service. But it isn't my favorite infact I don't use this one very much at all. It is simple enough to use. But when you are chatting it is in picture form and I find this a little confusing.
