Dobedo is not just plain old chat. The site is very graphical. Instead of just seeing lots of text on the screen, you pick a cartoon character type face to represent yourself. This character can then move this around the various locations of an imaginary island. It's all very colourful and looks good, but, obviously you have to wait for the graphics to load. You get your own dobedo email account when you join and there's a kind of sense of community. ... ...world for a while. You even get a little room of your own, which you can decorate as you like and invite friends back to. Trouble is, there doesn't seem to be that much smart chat going on. The times I've popped by, the different areas of the island (although they look very pretty) have not been that busy. I decided to try DoBeDo about six months ago after reading reviews and press coverage about the site.
The site is very clearly laid out and allows you to try out the chat without signing-up or giving any personal information. If you click on 'try it out as tourist' you are on in less than a minute and you can try out the site without the hassle of signing-up. If you like what you see, you can choose a logon name and one of the avatars (characters ... ...your own avatar if you don't like what's on offer. E-Mail is available via the site if you want to e-mail people from the site without giving them your personal e-mail address. There are always loads of events going on which are organised by the site and it's members.
The chat is based on an island set-up, with the user being able to select which part of the island they want to visit. There are over thirty locations to go to on the island which ...

This site has a very fresh feel to it! The layout is cool and different. The way you can make yourself look how you want is also very original. This site is good if you want a laugh and the rest of your mates are on as well. But if you are looking for a serios chat with someone than this really isn't. I don't go to caht rooms any more but when I used to this was my favourite along with MSN! Which is boring but very easy to use and practicle unlike ...

I think Dobedo is a good chat service. But it isn't my favorite infact I don't use this one very much at all. It is simple enough to use.
But when you are chatting it is in picture form and I find this a little confusing.
I wouldn't recommend this if you just want a simple chat this is more for the people who like graphics.If you like the fun look and your not looking for something simple this is for you/ Otherwise just stick to something like ...

Dobedo is the newest funkiest chat site in the web.Just the name insinuates how fun it is, and it is.
Compared to many other sites Dobedo is in a league of it's own.Instead of lines and line of writing you get to chose u'r own cartoon character(you can if you want put u'r own picture on it or a celebrities)and every time you speak a speech bubble comes from u'r mouth.
You can chise to shout or whisper, and also chose to show how u'r feeling to ... ...as flirty with a pair of lips!
You chose u'r own name and can join different clans, groups of people who share the same interests as you.There are many different rooms/places you can go to such as the pleasure done or MTV studio, and, if two of you want some privacy you even have the option to have a bedroom of u'r own to invite people to.

Advantages: It can be a lot of light hearted fun and you can have as many deep or shallow conversations as you wish to. Disadvantages: Navigation and conversations can be difficult to keep up with and use. Its just not user friendly.
Dobedo is like another planet. As soon as you enter, you forget where your supposed to be. It is a confusing site and is not in any way user friendly, mainly because navigation is impossible. Keeping a conversation is also impossible as your conversation appears in speech bubbles and only appears for a number of seconds. This means that before you know it, it is gone and you have missed what the person has said, leaving nothing to refer to. So, you ... ...good. The chat scenery include a number of worlds to visit in the little DoBeDo island, there are so many worlds to chat in, ranging from Matoba Falls, to Trump City. It is possible to collect items from such places as these to put about your person, tehre are collectable CD's, shamrocks, ice-creams, beers, and many other items. Some rarer than others. Also, so that you feel more involved with the DoBeDo community and can feel more active in it, ...
