Making job hunting fun!
Review of drjob.co.uk by beansmad

Advantages: Not your average graduate website, monthly auction/prizes, can moan
Disadvantages: Too obsess in collecting dollars, not enough vacancies

What is Doctorjob? ------------------ The Doctorjob website is for people who are looking for a job, especially those people who graduated recently. It claims to be the No 1 graduate careers website. This website is published by the people from GTI Specialist Publishers. How I came across this website ------------------------------ It was my final year at university and I got the Doctorjob's Little Black Book from the Careers Service. This little ...
...as it was colourful and seems ironic. The website address was on the book. First Impressions ----------------- My first impressions on looking at this website was that it was a colourful and bright as the book. The home page is clutter with information and register/login details. At the top of the site, there is the logo and the buttons of the sections to go to. The main part of the site has more details on the sections and on the side; there ... Read review

very helpful site
Review of drjob.co.uk by 3dearnym

Advantages: easy to navigate and some good "extras"
Disadvantages: none really

Dr Job is specifically a graduate recruitement site, where people like me who are trying to find their first job out of University, can find a lot of really helpful information about just about anything you need, as well as up to date vacancies from graduate recruiters. I find this site very easy to find your way about, everything is where you think it should be, which isn't always so with these type of sites. There is a specific forum where you ...
...a really stupid one as the host Dr Jobs alter ego "Tiffany" is highly sarcastic and really rips into those people who as obvious or frankly stupid questions. This does give you some prospect of entertainment though, whilst engaged in the serious business of finding a job. Other benefits include "DrJob dollars" pop-ups that you can find all over the site, which give you points that you can then go and bid with in the monthly auction to get some really ... Read review

Doctor's in the House!
Review of drjob.co.uk by CJYKB

Advantages: Fun layout, large scope
Disadvantages: Not much detail

I came across doctorjob.com due to its prominence in graduate-type magazines. Certainly its advertising budget must be pretty hefty. That said, it's a well-designed and informative site, with life guides on just about everything the student could want to know, information relating to the various career options, details of postgraduate courses and links to relevant websites. It's a fount of information, and is further boosted in the ratings by its ...
...It's also a genuinely fun site to use, with surveys, "time wasters", and a monthly auction, in which one can use the electronic "doctorjob dollars" offered around the site to bid for interesting prizes. The biggest criticism, however, is the lack of detail, brought about by its sheer size. It is difficult, it seems, to be comprehensive and detailed all at the same time. Its career guides, for example, merely scratch the surface though, it is true, ... Read review

Worth A Look
Review of drjob.co.uk by Fazana

Advantages: Excellent content
Disadvantages: Not many vacancies. Mainly for recent graduates.

Doctor Job ensures that looking for a job is as entertaining as possible with its images of various 70's and 80's icons. The company profiles and career advice were particularly useful. I would recommend this site to any graduate who is either looking for a specific job or just some career advice. I myself have used the site to look for prospective employers. The "moan zone" is also a great way to let off steam about employers, work or study! I found ... Read review
