I recently received an e-mail from DVD Plus informing me that they were back open for business again. About three or so months ago they had to shut down, obviously owned by a new company they have re-opened. It has been such a long time since I have been on the website that I can’t tell if it has been updated or improved. Since buying a DVD player a couple of years ago I immediately turned to the internet to buy DVD's to help reduce the extra cost over video. Over time I have used several different stores until I found DVDPlus. I was first put off by the basic web site in comparison to previous companies I used. There is also a 'what’s new' page which includes a list of offers, often a long detailed list over several pages. Other sections are latest releases and pre order titles. DVD Plus I have found is a very fast a reliable service. The webpage doesn’t look that brilliant but then it doesn’t need to because it only does one thing DVD’s. Once you have found the DVD you would like to buy you have to set up an account with them, and then make the purchase; this part of the site is totally safe. ...bought the more points you got which then allowed you get a free DVD, however now they run on a tipping system where you can decide how much you would like to donate to the page. I found dvdplus.co.uk through what was then shopsmart.com (now kelkoo.com), searching for a specific DVD. This site turned out to be the cheapest option, so I gave it a go. First impressions of the site - dvdplus.co.uk is in fact a re-direct url which takes you to shopcreator.com/mall/dvdplus. The first sign of a company run on the cheap. The layout is poor, lacking on 'back' links, and the basket option failed on me a fair few times so I had to keep re-searching for my dvd.
