Advantages: Dvds delivered free to your door, pre-paid envelope supplied to return once watched, no limit on time you can keep before returning Disadvantages: None if you are a movie buff!!
I love movies. To my mind there’s nothing better after a hard day’s work than the escapism of a good romantic comedy, the excitement of an action thriller or the terror of the latest horror flick, particularly when there’s so little of value on the small screen. But the cinema’s so expensive, particularly if you’ve got a family to pay for, and the irresistible draw of the popcorn stand just ups the outlay even further. So DVD hire is the way forward ... ...the latest blockbusters without shelling out a fortune.
But even hiring DVDs can be an expensive game – usually you’re looking around £3.50 for two nights for the most recent titles, and heaven help you if you forget to take it back when it’s due.
