Well my hunt for a new partner has ended after many months. I am now the owner of a sexy small dark Sony Ericsson T68 mobile phone. I have actually bought three phones in total, but have had to return two because of various reasons they did not work. First of all I had a Nokia 3410, but I couldn’t get a decent signal in my area and then a Ericsson T200 which I simply did not like because of its poor quality. Neither of these two where from e2save.

I did not fancy paying £300 plus for a decent handset for my Pay and Go sim card, so my hunt started for a cheap contract phone with o2 as this is the only network that works up were I live next to the North Pole. Or does it just seem this way in Northumberland!

Contract prices
***************

O2 and high street phone store prices: - The cheapest network that o2 themselves offer was the 02 Leisure Time at £15.00 per month which included 500 minutes off peak to UK landlines or o2 mobiles and 25 off peak cross network minutes to other mobile phone operators. For £3 extra per month you could add 50 text messages a month and itemised billing was £0.99 per month. The total would be £18.99 a month if you took all of these options. These prices were the same at 02 site, Carphonewarehouse and Phones 4u stores.

E2save Prices: -For the bargain price of £13.99 per month you get basically the same package but at a far cheaper price. This includes 600 minutes of peak, 25 cross network off peak and 50 free text messages a month. Itemised billing on this contract would be free. Therefore over the 12-month minimum contract you would save £60.00 and you would get an extra 1200 free off peak minutes.

E2save wins as over the 12-month minimum contract you would save £60.00 and you would get an extra 1200 free off peak minutes. I cannot find any difference between the two contracts for call prices, and conditions except calls to other mobiles are 5p dearer.

Phone Prices On o2 12 Month Contract
************************************

I would have expected e2save phone prices to be higher as they wouldn’t be working on as big commission as the major boys do. Wrong!

Sony Ericsson T200 Carphonewarehouse £19.99 or E2save £ free

Sony Ericsson T68I Carphonewarehouse £99.99 or E2save £69.99

Sony Ericsson T68 Carphonewarehouse £99.99 or E2save £29.99 with T68I software loaded and manual

Nokia 7650 Carphonewarehouse £249.99 or E2save £169.99

Nokia 6310I Carphonewarehouse £99.99 or E2save £ free

E2saves wins handsdown again on price. If you add the Nokia 6310I to the above contract you could save £159.99 over a year and still have an extra 1200 minutes. They will also price match if you can provide proof of a lower price.

Ordering and delivery
*********************

You can either visit there website and order online at www.e2save.com or you can phone 0870 0 11 22 56.
I order by telephone, as I don’t trust ordering over the net. I found the staff very helpful and he was able to answer my questions that I gave him. They charge £3.00 for delivery of the phone which is send by Royal mail special delivery and therefore should arrive 1 to 2 working days after depending on what time you place your order. My delivery arrived as quoted in a well-packaged box. The person who is going to pay for the phone must be available to sign for it and the courier will ask for ID.

Extras
******

On some phones they offer special offers like free line rental for so many months in the form of a cheque. Other phones offer a free DVD player. With my phone I got a handsfree kit, incar charger and a leather case free of charge. My case is falling to bits from day one so the quality is not over grand.

You also get an insurance policy with Cornhill that insures the handset. This cover is free for 3 months and then £4.49 per month after that. Since my handset would cost £329.99 I will be keeping this cover on. This cover is automatically started and if you don’t want it you have to cancel it before the 3 months are up otherwise they will take your money.

The Small print.
*****************

The mobile contract is with a company called Singlepoint based in Newcastle Under Lyme. I take it their services work the same way as Virgins do with One to One and they sell service cheaper by buying in bulk. This works well for me as I have needed to add a few things onto my contract. When I needed to speak to o2 I have been on hold 4 times in the last month for over 25 minutes. With Singlepoint I have phone twice and both times have spoken to a real human after only 2 minutes……heaven!.

Conclusion
**********

I am completely happy with the service I have received so far. The phone operates like my other o2 phones do ( 1x contract and 1 x Pay and Go). I have no problems with coverage or service. If any one is interested in ordering a phone from e2save, leave me a message in my Guestbook and I will contact you on how to save some money.

E2save offer may more latest release phones including the Nokia 7210 or Motorola V70 and offer all of the Networks. I haven’t looked all the other networks but if they are as good as o2 you will be laughing all the way to the bank.

The way I am looking at it is that I will pay £241.28 including 12 months line rental, handset, postage and 9 months insurance. If I had bought the same handset the cheapest I found it for was £280.00 therefore I have saved £40.00 and got a handset that’s insured against theft and accidents for 12 months. I also have all the free minutes, and texts to use.

Thanks for reading and dont forget to visit www.e2save.com next time your after a mobile
