With their packages e7 throw in a free uk domain name as well as 50mb of space and of course your own member domain name such as mine paulc.e7even.com. They also allow for unlimited email addresses to be set up for your account domain e.g. example@paulc.e7even.com.
That's all very nice you may say.....
There service isn't!!
Cuts offs ......
Ive lost count, I constantly receive the bt wholesale holding page and have to reset my modem/router. I have experienced complete cut offs for hours and days. I have experienced many problems not my fault and received the blame from their so called technical support (I'm a computer techie I probably know more then them!) . I have had situations were I have only had access to parts of the internet for days and weeks. All this and for compensation received 2 weeks free that's before they changed their terms and conditions to say that they cant be held responsible for cut offs.
I have written many letters of complaint and the only responses I receive are the standard sorry but its not our fault and it says so in the terms and conditions. Thats when recieve a response anyway. I recently contacted their support team regarding a query with slow connection speed only to be told that they know about the issue and are working on it and it should be sorted in a few WEEKS! Those weeks are weeks I'm paying full 1Mb price for and receiving 56K modem speeds for! I don't get this company at all they don't seam to understand they way things work. You don't expect to pay for 5 course meal and receive a bag of chips do you! So why should it be different with broadband.
O.K I'll stop blabbing now!
To sum up "I'm fed up with e7!"
Please don't be attracted to their high marketing approach with all there leering offers if you do a search om the web to find a review written by any customer that has been with them more then a 6months or so you will read the same thing as I'm writing here.
I would only advise people NOT to go with this company I could advise you the other way and e7 would reward me £20 each customer with their referral scheme.
To sum up E7 are basically a sales company reselling BT's Broadband services as cheaply as possibly their going for a high volume approach and this is what lets them down so badly. Their high marketing low service approach as I tried to tell them in an email isn't doing their reputation or their customers any favours at all.
Steer well clear of e7 if you require any kind of reliable and speedy service.
You really do get what you pay for, in fact you don't even get that!
I hope this helps with any potential victim looking to subscribe to e7 and I will try to update this review as often as possible regarding any changes positive or negative to their service, thats if I have internet connection that is!!
Advantages: Probably the best value broadband available Disadvantages: Relatively basic service
I have been with E7even for about 6 months now. Originally I signed up for 1Mb service at £240 for 24 months which included a free modem/4port router, microfilter/splitter and installation software. I am not a great expert on software or hardware but installation was not too difficult and I was up and running within a reasonable time without making any calls to their support number (warning - I understand having Norton Antivirus can cause serious ... ...not cause any problems).
I went with E7even on a recommendation primarily due to the price as I did not want to be spending a fortune on what was at the time essentially a home luxury. As we were alreay spending about £5 per month on ultra-slow pay-as-you-go dial-up, moving to £10 a month for broadband with the ability to use the Internet and email freely and quickly seemed a good decision. E7even are also unusual in that for such a low price there ...

Advantages: Low Price! Disadvantages: Extremely Poor Service & Support
...have been without internet with E7broadband as they call themselves now. I have been cut off more times than I care to remember and on many an occasion have only been able to access certain internet pages. Support! Huh. You just get the run around and "well it should be working" treatment. Pathetic to say the least. In addition you can access support by telephone only by paying for it on a £1.00 perminute phone call. When you do call beware that ... ...message (waste of time) and then not be called back or you can hold whilst they milk your phone bill and still not get to speak with anyone so you are transferred to the message system anyway! NOT GOOD! You can also pay an extra subscription for support and get a freephone number. Hey if they cannot even answer a premium rate number I hate to think what the freephone number is like.
I have been with E7 for a while now and I have to admit my experience ...

Advantages: None Disadvantages: Rarely works, Customer Service/Tech help non existant
When I first subscribed to e7even (as it was back then) it worked fine, occasionally I would have to re-set stuff on Outlook Express to get my emails which wasn't great, then I received an email telling me that at some point I might have to change my login. This seemed a bit irritating and unnecessary, but great improvements were promised as a consequence of this.
When my broadband connection suddenly stopped I did as advised and changed my login ... ...a week, and with 3 businesses using the same wi-fi broadband connection we also lost sales and consequently money.
On the day the service went down I emailed and phoned both customer service and tech support. Having received no response by the following day I decided to write to them. That was 3 weeks ago and in spite of leaving subsequent messages I have received NOTHING from e7broadband, not a call, letter, or email addressing my problems.
The ...

Advantages: cheap, on 1st glance Disadvantages: does not connect alot of the time!
I signed up mid-last year, after doing some research on different comparison websites.
e7 appeared to offer the cheapest service - at that time, reviews said that the connection speed wasn't great, but not being a download king I was just after a standard 1Mb BB connection. So e7 seemed ideal for my needs. They use a standard Windows DUN connection which worked 1st time with my previous ISP's freebie USB BB modem, so setup was easy.
I was actually ... ...as reliable or fast as my old ISP (the odd disconnection, but nothing frequent), but they were much cheaper so I was happy to take the odd niggle - you gets what you pay for after all.
However, e7 decided to do some "network upgrades" over Xmas. This is when things went pear-shaped. Since the upgrades, I have experienced frequent disconnections, and on 50% of days, I am unable to connect at all between the hours of 7pm-11pm.
According to their ...

Advantages: N/A Disadvantages: It's all one big disadvantage with e7
They've got your money so hard luck matey. When your internet suddenly turns off there's nothing you can do. And it'll be a cold day in haven before they answer your calls (even if you've paid extra for tech support) or emails. E7 are actually a very expensive service. BT is £30.00 a month for up to 8 meg broadband- £360.00 a year. E7 offers no service whatsoever for about £255.00 a year- paid in advance, thank you very much. That makes it considerably ... ...appalling. Internet has been down for 50 days now and I've yet to get through to the tech support. Providing this kind of service in the UK should be illegal and it probably is… I've started corresponding with them using recorded delivery mail and if this goes on for much longer I have every intention of suing them.
Avoid at all cost !!! ...
