Read all about it!
Advantages: Lightweight, easy to use, excellent battery life Disadvantages: You will be interrupted from reading to answer a lot of questions!
I'm sure by now a lot of you will be familiar with eBook readers, an electronic device designed to, for all intents and purposes, act just like a real book. And I'm sure a lot of you think the idea is absolutely ludicrous, that there is no need to make something such as a book, which obviously has stood the test of time just fine as it is, electronic. Well a couple of months ago I decided to splash out on one, having managed to pick up the old model ... ...John Lewis for £150, as the new touch-screen version was coming out. The new version, I should point out, is twice the price and the upgraded features are not particularly necessary, so I was very happy with my bargain. Here's a question I hear constantly about the Reader: "It's nice and all, but reading on a screen strains your eyes doesn't it?" Not this screen! The Reader, and competing eBook brands such as Amazon's Kindle, uses new technology ...

How to fit 13,000 books in a purse!
Advantages: Lots of storage space Disadvantages: Expensive
The Sony Reader enables the user to carry 160 books- or with a memory card 13,000 in the user's purse weighing just less than an actual book when the protective cover is on. At £199.99 its retail price is extremely expensive although it can be found much cheaper on line at Wh Smith's website and play.com which charges £149.99 £50 less. In my opinion this is definitely worth a buy if you are the type of person who always likes to take a book or two ... ...increasing. Also the Sony Reader prevents you from going to a book shop only to find the book isn't in stock, lugging books throughout the country and the tough choice between which book to read next. Thank You for reading my review I hope you have found it very useful. ...

So far so good, PocketBook 360
Advantages: Mostly Disadvantages: Read the review
...so. The best part of Pocketbook 360 is that most of it is configurable to suit my purpose and suitability. With the Linux OS that it carries performs consistently. I love the detachable lead, makes it more portable and less bulky. It deviates from the standard Unix and Linux behavior as one can’t see folders which starts with names having dots in the beginning. To make things even easier it has an icon telling you the residence of the files i.e. ... ...creating a folder when the Pocketbook 360 is connected to the PC with the USB chord, but one method is enough I believe!! Now .pdf files have closed or rigid structures, you can reflow, zoom or read even in column mode with the Pocketbook 360. YOU CAN COMPLAIN ABOUT: The hardware is too noisy. The clicks are very much audible. Some times the pages become annoyingly slow and definitely the manual is not upto the mark and requires serious update. ...

Nice Gadget Rubbish Software and a little fragile
Advantages: Slim & Portable nice Kit Disadvantages: Fragile & Sofware
...and general feel to the Sony Ereader is nice.
Battery life lasts for around 6500 page turns which is plenty, unless your reading the bible. This product is ideal for commuting and flights etc.
You can basically carry thousands of books around with you flicking between each one or you can just read one at a time. Its up to you.
Problems.
1. Well the software used is abit rubbish, I had to install Adobe reader onto the gadget and its was an issue ... ...is the issue it's this crappy adobe thing. They need to learn from Apple regarding downloading. 2. Holidays. Mine cost me around £200 from Play.com. But would you risk walking around Barcelona reading it. Probably not. I didn't, so we had ebooks and real books with us on holiday. I think because its so expensive you need to decide whether taking the risk and using it in a public place or taking your normal book.
3. Fragile. MY partner was walking ...

A small player in the market that packs a definite punch.
Advantages: Great for on the go reading and bok management Disadvantages: Isn't a book.
...and series. The Pocketbook 360 reads all form of standard e-book files and I don't intend to get to technical about this. The average user would be happy to just download e-book with the confidence that they can be actually read. THOUGHTS
The 360 does not represent a technological revolution but it is a great introduction to e-book reading if this is your bag and believe where the future lies. For me, such devices would be used due to convenience ...
