Nice machine, works fine, quick, speakers tacky, keyboard fair, mouse ditto. No real complaints other than it cost £800 and 14 days later PC World Dropped the price by £200. Ooops but these things happen. The biggest problem with it has been XP which is very choosy about what it will and will not run. The machine itself is all it should be. The monitor displays a good crisp picture, the sound card gives good sound, the speakers sound okay and could be better, the keyboard is a no-frills keyboard. XP is stable but there is so much software that is not compatible that it makes the machine difficult to use. Even little things like my wifes favorite screensaver will not run under XP. This makes what is basically a good machine into a not so good machine. I would be the first to admit that you can't judge a machine by the operating system but it does have an impact on how the machine performs. Although XP is stable and pretty (if a little too cartoonish) it isn't without problems and, that being the case, it does detract from an otherwise passable machine.
