I have owned the eMachines 770 for nearly 2years 4months, it was originally purchased as a cheap student machine. It has served me well in the years i have owned it, i have replaced the minimal amount of things on this machine, mainly the keyboard, mouse and speakers that came with it as they were 'budget' alternatives that i found very 'flimsy'. The basics of the system are adequate for most of the basic pc use market, it is not meant to be a media system so i would personally recommend this to the basic pc/internet user for browsing ect.
As this system is now nearly 3 years old, the chances are that any potential buyer will be buying second hand, for college work or a low budget family system. If this is the case then i recommend that you shop around to find one with a RAM upgrade (higher than 256mb) possibly a new keyboard and mouse set, and if you would like it as a system to handle music and media, i suggest a speaker upgrade.
