This last January I bought an Emachine, Etower 533id, and have been so impressed with this computer. When I decided that our old computer had just about seen it's last days, I was so afaid to venture out and spend the amount of money that computers cost today.
Mainly because I didn't have a wad of money to through away if I got ripped off, or just plain had a pile of computer, that I didn't know a thing about.

About two months before I actually bought this Emachine, I thought I would be the smart consumer and start gathering information and prices on all the different computers available today. Well it didn't do me much good, because everytime I picked up a new ad, there was something new or different, that I knew absolutely nothing about. So I finally decided, at my children's begging, to go out and talk with dealers and representatives, to try to gain a better understanding of all involved in the computers.

It was at a Best Buy store where my luck turned positive. They had a salesman who devoted his time to making a sale no doubt, but also to making sure that I understood what I was buying and what would be involved in setting this system up once I got it home.
He answered every question I had, about this set-up as well as several others. He explained their system packages, along with what was included and what wasn't. He also explained what was worth buying to go along with this computer and what was not.

The salesman had shown me several different things on a few different brands of computers, and this system seemed to be the easitest in functions. Which with not knowing a whole lot about computers, and having younger children, was why I decided to go with this brand.

When I set out that day to find that bargain on my new computer, I had a set amount in mind that I would spend, well I was several hundered dollars under that limit, which allowed me to up-grade a few parts from the original package, such as the printer and monitor. Also, I was able purchase an in-store service agreement, which will allow for my computer to have regular maintenance done or repairs if needed.

With bringing home my new computer that evening, it took a total of 30 minutes, and I was set-up and surfing the web. The booklets and instructions were very easy to understand, with everything diagramed out for viewing as you set-up.

We have had absolutely no problems with this system, unlike my last computer. However I have had several questions, in which I was able to call the Emachine Tech support, FREE, and have every question explained and answered by a professional tech. Instead of some bubble gum chewing, "I don't know", twit, like some of the other computer support lines I have had to call.

This computer is truly a great buy. Not only a reasonable price, but great performance and service as well. I couldn't afford to through away my money and I hope this helps others when choosing their new system.
