I recently bought an E-Machine 'E Tower 566cd' desktop computer. The spec for this is 64 mb SDRAM, 128kb L2 cache (66Mhz system bus), 15Gb hard drive, 48x CD Rom, 3d AGP Intel Direct Grahics, 56K modem, 566Mhz Intel Celecron Processor and a 3 1/2" floppy disc drive. It comes with windows ME. This is my 4th desktop computer and by far the best. It is fast reliable and very easy to set up and use. There are both Parallel and USB ports of the front and rear of the tower unit. The front ones are easy to access and also include game ports which make access much easier. There is an built in manual which is very clearly explained and easy to understand. I have had my computer for around 5 months now and have had no problems at all - not even minor ones. The computer runs qiuetly and smoothly. Windows ME is very user friendly and has uselful funstions which cannot be found on Win 98 - such as the restore feature which allows you to restore your computer settings to a previous date. This means if you have installed software and are experiencing problems since then, you can go to restore and re-set your computer to how it was before you installed the problem software.
I would definately recommend E-Machines and at under £450 the price is an added bonus.
