Ebay is (as has been said many times) THE auction site on the web. It is huge! If you are looking for something there is probably someone selling it here. The only problem is that most of the sellers are in the US. There is a UK based ebay now which is very good but obviously a lot smaller. There is a search option which I think works very well, choose which section to search in, enter you search and you get a result from only that section. It does cost to sell things though, which is one of the few downsides, but for the amount of people that are possibly viewing you auction it may just be worth it!

Advantages: a great well thought out site! Disadvantages: sometimes what you win a bid for doesn't always mean you'll get the item. People do change there minds at the last minute... and it can get frustrating!!!!
