I have been selling music from the UK - mainly CDs and records - for a couple of years and I have to say that it is much more profitable to list items in dollars on the main eBay site (www.ebay.com) than in pounds on the UK site (www.ebay.co.uk). It seems to be that the relative proportion of customers from the UK is quite small (around 5 per cent of all my sales) and that US bidders are put off by auctions priced in pounds. Most US buyers are happy to send US dollars in cash can obviously be converted back into pounds. It is worth the added incovenience to get top prices for your items.
