I have not known of ebay.co.uk for long, but in the short time I have used it I have found myself becoming addicted to trying to get what I want for the lowest price possible. I came across ebay when trying to find a reasonably priced camcorder on the net, and a friend pointed me in the direction of ebay.
When you first visit ebay you can either search if you know exactly what you want or browse, where you will be presented with 13 main categories of products, including sports, photo & electronics, antiques & art. These categories all have subcategories two making it seem that anything you can think off is being auctioned on the site, and so far that doesn’t seem to be a far of analysis. Once you have found what you want you will be presented with all the lots on offer. By clicking on a lot you can find out when the auction ends, whose auctioning the item and a description of the item on offer. There is a feedback section where you can see what other people have said about the seller so you can see how reliable they are.
If you decide to bid on an item you will be able to see it in your member area so you can see whether you are still the highest bidder and if you need to bid more. I will warn you though that there seem to be people who will watch the auction till about 5 mins before it ends then outbid you trying to be the last to bid before the auction end so you can find yours self being outbid in the final minutes when you thought you’d won, which is unbelievably frustrating.
Ebay has a 'safe harbour’, which is really a resource to help you protect your self from being shortchanged on the site.
I would recommend this site to anyone looking for a bargain as there are some quite amazing offers on display, and anyone who would love the challenge of the auction, so have fun and I hope you win!
