---What do they sell?---
Ebay users sell almost anything from cars to coins, from photos to programmes. Ebay.co.uk have thousands of items listed on their site. They also have charity auctions where the proceeds go to charity.
---How do I buy something?---
Before you start throwing your cash left, right and centre, you have to register. Don’t worry you don’t have to give any credit/debit card details.
Once registered you can either browse or search for items. You can choose to search for things world-wide or just in the UK. This is good as international shipping charges can be high.
Once you’ve found an item you like the look of, look at the price, shipping charges and time left, this will help you decide if you want to make a bid.
To make a bid (which is legally binding) go to the bid box near the bottom of the description and place your bid. You can set a maximum bid by typing in your maximum price. It will automatically register your bid at the lowest price you can bid, but if someone beats it, it will automatically bid on your behalf until it reaches your maximum bid.
If you win, you need to contact the seller or vice versa within 3 days. You need to get the sellers address so you can send them a cheque. Once the seller receives your cheque and it clears, you should receive your item.
You should then leave feedback and the seller should do the same.
---Any good features?---
The ‘my ebay’ section includes sections such as bidding, selling and favourites. The favourites section includes any saved searches, which can be sent by email to you when new items become available.
In the bidding section you have a useful feature which allows you to watch an item before bidding.
---Conclusion---
This is an amazing site full of bargains, bargains and more bargains. On the downside the site design looks a little dull and boring, it could do with a bit of a makeover.

I really must try this site out sometime soon. Louise
Advantages: cheap, quick, secure, the seller has reviews next to his name on previous sold items Disadvantages: Some people run scams, you don't get to see the product until it arrives.
