This site is an auction site, where you can
  • Sell
  • Bid
  • Buy

To start with you will need to register, by choosing a username and password, once you have done this, you are ready to go. If you want to sell something you own, you can follow the easily marked steps, on the web site, to promote your product.

If you want to buy something, without having to bid, you can do, on certain things. If when you search for what you are looking for, you notice a "buy it now" next to the description, that means you can buy it, without having to bid. Just click on but it now, and follow the steps.

If you want to bid on something, then type in the search box what you are looking for, and it will then list all the products that match. You can now flick through them, look at the picture of what it looks like, and read the description. Find what you want, and then place your bid.

Placing a bid, couldn't be easier. Click on the product and then follow all the steps that are on the screen. You must start bidding at the asking price, and it goes up in 50ps. Ebay, will bid for you, if you set yourself a limit. When you have reached your limit, e bay will send you an email, to tell you .

At the end of the auction, E bay will then send you another email, telling you whether you won the bid, or lost it. If you win the bid, you can pay by,
If you choose to pay by credit card, you will need to register with PayPal. This is easy to do and wont take more than a couple of minutes.

Click on the PayPal link, and follow the easy steps. PayPal, will remove a couple a pound from your credit card. When your credit card statement arrives, next to the PayPal transaction, will be a four digit number. This number, is the number you use, everytime you buy, with your credit card. PayPal, will put that couple of pound, back on the card, at a later date.

E bays website is clearly laid out and easy to use. Everything is self explanatory and the registration steps are easy too.

You are able to send emails, to the people you are buying from. If you are unsure of a product, want to ask for additional information or you request postage details, all the sellers emails are there with the product.

I personally have found everything i am looking for, and all that i have purchased, has been shipped to me within a week.

Whether you want to buy dvds, tools, games or collectors items, i am absolutely certain you will find what you are looking for.

My only criticism of eBay is that it's insanely easy to spend money you don't have - Alex xx

As I wrote an op about Ebay, too (Ciao Germany, once again ;-)) ) I know there's a little more to tell. But I always tell anyone 'helpful' still is a good rating. So please don't blame me for it. ;-) If you'd add something like good chances to find something very special for a good price and just the other way (some days ago, I saw one guy bidding EUR 400 for a computer hardware, that you could order for EUR 360 new, with guarantee.... Some people are too stupid, od on a bidding-trip... They loose their mind there. (**** my spell checker's not available here, so please don't blame me for any mistakes ;-)) ) -- cu, Burkard
