I Purchased my first item from ebay about 9 months ago, it was a dvd I bid, i paid and it arrived on the doorstep. No problems very easy and even with post & packing I saved £5-00 on the high Street price.

I then decided to sell my Disneyanna collection. As I had worked for the company I had a lot of bits which were cast member exclusives.

From badges and pins selling from £2-00 to £15-00 to prints selling from £3-00 to £45-00 and clothes, ive sold loads.

I then stated on the kids rooms Barbies and accessorys, a bag of barbie clothes, shoes and bits sold for £28-00, My little Pony, Puppy in my pocket. it all went on the site and sold.

Clothes the girls have grown out of, put into lots and sell. ( although I did have an email asking if i had any old underwear belonging to my 12 year old which i wanted to sell)

My husband is in the forces so I started on his kit. Uniform, corps ties, cards, magazines.

My clothes his clothes, yes they all sell.

Then theres the buying. My youngest daughter loves the collectors edition Barbies. I have bought 3 so far, DVDs I have bought 6 from £4-00 to £10-00, I did most of my Christmas shopping on ebay finding gifts that were unusual. Even finding a pair of talking Steve and Terry Irwin (crocodile hunter} dolls in the US for my eldest daughter @ £25-00. A Yorkshire passport for my Dad £5-00. A peice of coal from the Titanic £15-00. all at less than I would pay on the high street, if I could find it on the high street.

Yes you get the odd bidder who doesnt pay but you take the chance.

With the money I have made I have bought a dishwasherhad several good days out ( theme parks, cinema, shopping) all 4 of us are off to Disneyland Paris for 5 days in April thanks to ebay.

And the next time I move house I will have a lot less boxes to take with me.

Your op was very useful. I have just started using e-bay and I am finding it extremely addictive. I bid for a dolls house today and found myself bidding nearly £30 more than I wanted to pay. Luckily I didn't get it! Im' not too sure about the selling costs yet but it sounds as if it is worthwhile. Thanks Jane
