Advantages:
Excellent bargains ! ! Better than a car boot sale as you can send items back and query anything if you like . Not that i have had problems
Disadvantages:
eBay is very Addictive you can spend a lot of time and money when sometimes you don't really need something ! !
eBay provides a very good service, you can buy virtually anything so long as you'r prepared to bid. Most items are auctioned, some can be bought straight out.
I've brought quite a few items off of eBay and have found it very reliable, entertaining and addictive. Here's a few easy steps to buying on eBay:-
* First, sign up. This requires a credit card don't panic, this is to verify your age and status and doesn't get abused.
*Then bid on what you want to buy.
*All auctions have set time scales so you know when it finishes.
*The computer keeps a log of items you are watching, bidding on and past wins and losses.
*Keep a daily check of your account so you know how your doing.
*At the end of the auction you will be notified if you are the winner.
Once you have won it, you have to pay. You can allect to do this by cheque or postal order etc. However you can set up a paypal account which sends the money automaticaly. Sometimes there is a small charge, I have found this service very useful.
A good idea before bidding is to check the sellers feedback. Every user is asked to leave feedback about their dealings. This gives you an excellent idea of the person you are dealing with.

It is good but they once tried to charge me twice for an item I was selling. I was not impressed. xxx

Not an easy subject to chose and I think for a new writer, you didn;t do too badly with it.
