I have been using ebay for about a year now and have bought about 15 items and sold about 40.
Ebay is very easy to use and only take 3- 4 minutes to set up an account. Once you set up an account i recommend you set up a paypal account, which is like an onlinebank account which allows you to buy and sell items from other users.
Advantages
The best thing about ebay is being able to find any item you want at the click of a button and you can get some amazing bargains. My best bargain on ebay was a nokia 3310 new and boxed for only £20!!! In the highstreet it would have cost at least double that.
Another good thing about ebay is that if you have any old junk laying about your house you can sell it and have cash in the bank after about a week. If you are thinking of selling items on ebay it is important to put key words in your heading so that uses can find you item easily and to be honest about your item so that buyer is happy with what they get.
On ebay the best way to make money is to build up your feedback rating so that all uses trust you. Feedback is left by each member every time you buy or sell an item. The higer your feedback rating, the more people are willing to bid and this means you get more money for your item.
Bad points
The main things to look out for on ebay are bad ebayers who dont post your item when you buy it. The best way to avoid buying of bad ebayers is to check the user you are buying from has feedback close to 100%.
Also always look at the postage rates! some people will sell you a dvd for 0.01p but charge you £10.00 for postage
You also need to check where your item is coming from. Some items that you see are realy cheap but they could be from bangkok which probably means they are fake.

Of course the opposite is true about feedback in that the newer the member, the more keen they me be to do everythig right. WE all have to start somehwere. Personally, I have made a sale from someone with 98% feedback over a v long period, but she was still dishonest. It has left me with a bad taste in my mouth, quite frankly.
