Ok, so you've heard people eveywhere you go talking about Ebay, They tell you, "Look what I brought on Ebay at the Weekend" or "I brought this for my mum off Ebay but i't doesnt fit, Ill just have to re-sell it again".and your thinking to yourself....well what the hell is EBAY?
WELL........
If you have never hear of Ebay and you have never ever been to to website you are missing out Bigtime. When was the last time you went trapsing around the shop's to do your local shopping, filling the trolley up with everything on you shopping list only to get home and think....Wow look at all that stuff I put in and didn't even have on my list. That's what Ebay's like. You see it, like the look and buy. The only difference is, is that with Ebay you can do it from the comfort of you own home, and have it delivered straight to you door. Before you know it you will have yourself placing bids left right and centre and then getting really excited about if you will win them or not and trust me...Its becomes an addiction.
I have placed many many bids on item's that have taken my fancy, from CD's to Record's,Shirts to Fleece's Phone's to
sim card's.Some thing's I have brought or placed bids on have meen more expensive than other's BUT, There are a whole load of shrewd bidders out there who will wait right until the very minute before they place their bid just to make sure they win. This means that some people cant usually outbid them.
With the option's to Buy, Sell, and Ask Seller a question the site is fantastic.Help is always there just a click away if ever you are in nedd of it.The very well managed site make things that whole lot easier when is comes to bidding on an item, for instance it has a very cool "MY EBAY" page where you can manage all your item's such as Message's from sellers/buyers about an item. The item's you are itrerested in will be put in the "Watching" section, the item's your bidding on will be oin the "Bidding" on section and it even tell's you Item's that you've bidded on and didn't win in the "Item's not won" section, and as I said all this can be done in "MY EBAY"
Feedback is a great feature on ebay for anyone. Its basically only a number but this number is very very helpful and very important. If you see an Item that you want to buy but are unsure if the seller is a scammer just check the feedback score the higher the better and if you want to know what people have said about this seller ie: if they can be trusted, if the item was as described then all you've got to do it click the feedback score.easy
Ebay also has a currency converter in dollars and pounds sterling so you know what the actual bid price is in your own currency
Before you place a bid on ANY item there are a number of thing's you neeed to check out..You must always check that the seller will ship the item internationally if they are based in a different country to you,or even if the seller will sent itm out at all, I mean....if its a car or a boat your buying its more than likely to be a collection only sale and what kind of payment's they accept. Paypal, Cash on collection, Postal Order's or cheque are the main way's of paying. All of tis information will be on the item description page.
One way to make sure you get that all important item is to place a "Maximum" bid.A "Maximum" bid is the price taht you are willing to pay for that item.If the bidding goes over your maximun then as per usual you will have bee out-bid and will not win the item.BUT if the item you are watching is it at £50.00 and you are will to pay £100 and you enter £100 as your "Maximum" bid, when it comes to the end of the auction and no-one has bidded not only will you be happy that you won but you will be even happier as although you entered £100 no-one else placed a bid so you would have just won it for £50.00.
Selling is a very quick and easy procedure. Just follw the on screen instrustion's. Choose your category, add a title- description - price - postage cost etc etc and away you go. Submit your advert and away you go watch the bids go up and up and up.
Here's something for you all to enjoy.
