My experiences with ebay have been mixed over time. While buying one of the fundamental rule is to check the seller and feedback given to him/her. Power sellers are most of the time to safe way to go. Most of the members listed with no feedbacks are dishonest and there to try to cheat u into buying bogus items.
My advice is to stick to powersellers if u r buying off ebay and one other thing ive noticed is that items listed as "buy it now" are always safe.
As a seller it can b quite tricky to list an item and u have to watch out for many crooks. I always have problems with buyers askin me to send items to PO boxes in nigeria and askin to make payments through methods other than paypal. These users are generally ones without any feedbacks on their profile so watch out for these crooks. As a rule i never ship and item unless i receive confirmation of recept of payment from paypal. Some crooks even photoshop paypal emails and make requests so u have to watch out for these emails.
Overall ebay can be a great place for bargains as long as u watch out for dishonest users and stick to reccomended payments methods.

Unfortunately people with no feedback watsoever either from a buyer or a seller are dodgy thats the sorry truth. Any member worthy of trust r the ones that have at least some feedback. But then again it depends on ur personal choice and the price of the item so its all relative.

- Hi.. You said; "Most of the members listed with no feedbacks are dishonest and there to try to cheat u into buying bogus items". This is a very mis-guided assumption. I have to say that most people ARE law abiding citizens, regardless of lack of feedbacks. It is still only the small minority who are bogus. If, your above statement was the case, eBay would of been shut down years ago.
