Ebay is a revolutionary website in which people can pay a small fee to buy and sell items of all kinds, to people all over the world. Ebay is well known for being the place to find tickets to gigs, designer goods, and rare music and film memrobillia.
I was a little scared of Ebay at first, but it's very easy to use. You can sign up for free. It's so easy to find what you want, and the choice is excellent. The feedback process is the key to it's success I feel, it's the fairest way of doing things. I have been buying and selling now for about 4 years, and have not had any problems (even got my money back from my Michael Jackson tickets!) You just have to check peoples feedback and feel happy with what your buying. When selling, you must be honest and straightforward. I think good communication is vital.
When there are any problems with the site or announcements you are always quick to be alerted. I love the vouchers you get, and building up your status and feedback. The fee's for selling are ok; many bump up the postage slightly to reflect this which is fair - if you aren't happy with it don't bid! The buy it now tool is also great when shopping for mundane items.
I think one of the negative aspects of Ebay are ticket touts - people just buying loads and selling them for double, it shouldn't be allowed really. I would encourge Ebay to ban it, but I doubt they would, I assume it makes a lot and is good publicity for them.
All in all I am a huge fan of the site and could not imagine life without it!
