Ebay now charge so much it's not worth selling nik naks from around the home for 99p, since they bought paypal they charge you 3 times, listing fee, final value fee and paypal fee. This is now not worth my while. Thanks ebay, you have effectively stopped small time sellers.
Once upon a time I used to work from home and make a living by selling 12" records on ebay, nowadays it's not viable to sell anything under a quid unless you are listing 700 similar items, the time alone to write the auction would not be worth the time versus income.
What was once an enjoyable sellers experience has turned into a buyers market, people are listing items from one penny, which is plain crazy in my opinion

Exactly, I am so annoyed as a small time seller who has recently started using ebay- grr is all I can say! It's NOT free to post a cd, why should we list it as free?! So annoying ebay, sort it out!

If you have a look on the discussion boards over there, the consensus is that pushing out small sellers is exactly what ebay are trying to do. Feedback system is skewed in the buyers favour, Paypal compulsory, etc etc. Try eBid - I hear it's getting more and more popular, and it's free to list. Traffic is not so high there, though but nothing to lose since there are no listing fees.... :)
Advantages: Very easy to use, good benefits, excellent choice, good shopping from home experience Disadvantages: Has always had the same layout, tickets touts selling tickets for double face value!
