A FREE site but with a quite well-organized routine to provide members ease of use and manage their listings with the least possible effort. I preferred to begin this review to open up a new topic.

If you know what to expect, eBazaar auction classified is quite straightforward. It took me once through to realize that I needed to enter my default settings (my bidders feedbacks check, location, duration of auctions (like fix ending time), payment information, etc.), but that's because I was too impatient to read their "Help system".

The help files are fantastic. The help files have good, clickable graphics - a nice setup, especially for us Web-surfers.

Hopefully you have two pages for setting up an auction with the necessary hits. First page you give some basic information about your listings (title, description, picture etc). On the second page you might get embarrassed (how they can make it), you can set a fixed time for ending your auction (if you are an international user), select from a wide range of payment systems (a click away) and even manage what happens if your auction closes when it doesn't sell or what to do if you want to re-list under special circumstances. eBazaar even thinks of how to save your time after you listing has closed! The good news is that they let you enter your own HTML. This is good if you've already got your own "look and feel" for your auctions, plus you can have a gallery and gather all your pictures in one place! Of course still you have options for uploading single picture or add a URL for your picture.

Some of the other features that are common in other auction sites, such as hit counters, buynow, watch-list etc, are all easily accessible in eBazaar, which is not surprising since those are usually associated with any other auction site. You can create several auctions instantly by using Bulk-upload, then submit them one at a time. I'm very security-conscious, so I was pleased to see that eBazaar checks the logged in ID in all the process!

eBazaar auctions in fact uses the most common features of other auctions, but have added some new inventions into the history of online auctions which are mainly good and well-designed for New Zealand traders. Other auction sites track your auctions, including completed ones (both sold and unsold), but there's no quick way to go to the item's listing in a different category. In eBazaar however, your listing can divide into Open, Closed, Bulk Upload, Your sold ones, Your Purchased Items, Your Watch List, Your Bids, your offered and etc. which gives a wide range of reports to users. Also there are sufficient links for placing feedback, private messages, edit auctions, remove top bidders, lowered reserve etc. which saves more time for users. I wasn't that impressed with the mail in eBazaar (There was some delay when you ask a question during the last minute of an auction!) but the quick reply to my email by admin was very impressive! In fact the mail server problem was because of the ISP company and the team at eBazaar said that this will be resolved when they do future improvements. Admin is very friendly and if you have a look on posted messages in forum, they made some update for their members (included me!) in a day.

In eBazaar black-list is for blocking any bidder that you wish to and also you can stop a range of bidders by blocking them by their email address. For example if you don’t wish to have a hotmail.com bidder! So blocking FREE email holders is mandatory by seller and not controlling by the site.
The main thing’s that made eBazaar a fast growing online community is having a strong IT team, they put everything’s that a trader needs to save the time by adding some unique feature. the well-organized and fast updates by admin were really surprising, sometimes maybe 3 to 4 essential updates in a week. It seems eBazaar has joined several scripts to make a new good one. Easy navigation and using Paypal (The site has no success FEE and only charges for Bold and Feature listing or if you wish to have a store) make the site much familiar to users.

Considering the price with other similar auction site, you can find much cheaper IT products and listings are genuine listings. Scam not tolerated in eBazaar and I recon admin investigate any listing with the first complain.

Overall, I'd have to say I was impressed with what I saw and one of the good work of New Zealand.

Cheers,
John Paul - Open-Source-“;)
