I recently made a web based purchase from Eclipse Computers Coventry, and they have given me nothing but porky pies, promises, and half arsed answers to my questions. I orderd nearly 300 quids worth of components 10 days ago, and opted for the next day delivery service, and from what i was told the first time, all components were stocked and ready to be shipped. It is a shame that places like this dont make the effort to be a little bit better, as a local resident of Coventry I thought this shop would be ideal to use but no all you get is hastle. I have used this shop twice online and both times things have gone wrong. Ok, ok, you want reasons: 1) No support, even if you turn up in person! 2)They GLUE IN components, for "warranty purposes" you're more likely to break the components than remove them for upgrade. 3) A little story: My friend bought an Athlon XP2000+ system. Ordered a custom built Platinum Series gaming PC, components selected via their impressive on-line interface. I was happy with my selection and the price, but soon I realised that there was a problem. They say that 3 days should be allowed for building, testing and delivery of custom built systems.
