Advantages: Good Christmas Fun - Magical - Everyone will Love It! Disadvantages: None!
I'll never forget the time I went to see Elf at the cinema. My friend and I went to our local cinema , which is if I'm honest is very basis and nothing like Cineworld or the other 'big' cinemas. The reason I will never forget this trip to the cinema is because , the 'cinema' room we were put in was only a small one with only enough room to seat about twenty people. As the cinema was quite full when we arrived , my friend didn't have a seat and so had to sit on a stool , high above everyone else , throughout the whole movie! Oh we laughed!
We went to see this movie a couple of days into the new year , and so we were still fairly in the festive mood , although I would have preferred it even more if we had seen it during the countdown to Christmas , but nevertheless it didn't put me off the film.

If ever there was a marketing ploy, they would be it. Thankfully, Favreau isn?t that crass and they are played for laughs.
The idea of a grown man playing a childlike elf is mildly disturbing in itself, but thanks to Will Ferrell?s vim and verve and obvious talent for slapstick comedy, Buddy comes ...

Advantages: Very funny; children will love it Disadvantages: PG cert; Lame fx at times
Someone once said that there are two certainties in life - death and taxes. When they worked this one out, they forgot to factor in the third certainty at Christmas time, the annual Yuletide children's movie. And so it was that I entered the auditorium, flanked by my children intent on sampling this year's latest celluloid offering.
