My boyfriend and I have had a very bad experience with Esure and we have urged all friends and family to avoid them, they did not pay out on our burglary and cancelled our claim, and now a year later we are still in a vulnerable position as we cant get insurance with anyone else, and we are too paranoid to replace even the essentials as our home is not protected. Their valuation was 3 plus times higher than our own for our stolen goods, so they tried to make out we were dilibrately under insured, which we werent at all.
I would urge everyone to do an itinery of all your goods and keep an accurate list of values and as many photos and proofs of purchase you can and store it all electronically online somewhere.The burglar took a handful of paperwork from our files which included all our receipts/manuals etc which we kept all in a safe place!!!
The burglars even went under our bed and went through every box and envelope, stripping our bed to carry our things and even took our alarm clock!!!I feel we were burgled all over again when Esure cancelled our policy and refused to pay out on our claim, as if the actual burglary wasn't upsetting and devastating as it was!!

Sorry to hear of your experience with esure but this category is actually for car insurance not home insurance so you will need to ask Ciao to move it for you. I'm surprised that esure have cancelled your claim as I would have expected it to have been settled on a pro-rate basis unless they can prove fraud which does not appear to be the case.
