I am a student (the money from ciao (not much) is helping me survive) and I am currently studying hard! I have tried lots of software and hardware over my time so am fairly up-to-date on that stuff. www.pirateeye.co.uk

My relationship with eTSP started as a fruitful one. I received the books through the post, no problem and then paid them for them. Finished my no ties, no commitment offer... no.
A month later, a letter arrives. eTSP.co.uk - a letter saying I have no outstanding balance and some brochures. Not a problem... straight in the bin.
Next month, a letter arrives, and a book?! eTSP.co.uk - outstanding balance £7.29! On closer inspection there is an editors choice, which you have to opt out of each month or you automatically receive the book, darn!
So anyway, I thought my mistake, should be easy to rectify. Ring up the customer service help line... HELLO THIS IS AN AUTOMIC SERVICE. Balls.
After about half an hour of pressing buttons it tells me that the automic service is having technical difficulties and now I have speak to a real person. Within 30 seconds of speaking to the person I had done the following: found out that although the service has no commitments they do ask you receive 6 months of magazines, so I asked to send back the editors choice, and then closed my account.
Finished?
No, they picked up the book, no problems. The next month arrived, one letter. eTSP - Outstanding balance - £7.29?! They didn't pick up the book apparently, when I have the proof.
So anyway to date, I am still a slave to eTSP. I grudgingly send back the editors choice each month, even though my account is closed.
In short the offer isn't worth the hassle. Even though it says no commitment, you still have to receive the junk mail. Go to a book shop.
Cheers Mike :D
NOTE ******* The company claims that there is no ties (no asterix (but in the T&C)). Speaking to an operator (eventually!) she told me that they recommend members receive 6 months of magazines... even though you don't have to... grrr...

Having been a member of several and leaving at the first opportunity every time, I think that all these book clubs etc involve some kind of commitment don't they, although often cunningly hidden? And it's always such a hassle to leave! I have given up!

I have just rejoined a book club, they are usually fine as long as you return the slips declining the editors choice. Often they will send a prepaid postage sticker to return the book too.
