Another web-based email that has been around a while is Eudoramail. It is a simple to use site, and I've had an account with them for a few years, back from when I was very novice on the keyboard. I fell into the web-based one as I was using Eudora through my ISP (Mindspring) when I was living in the USA, and then when we started moving around, I needed o use a web-based site, and I trusted this Qualcomm product.

I'm still not all that hot on a lot of things like how much space you have but over time, I have left this account unchecked for a few and come back to over 100 messages. I don't get AS MUCH junk mail as I do with Hotmail, but there is still a fair bit of it.
The site is easy to navigate, bright and is a pretty good site for the beginner to get used to the runnings of an e-mail system. It is free, and offers spam blocking options, as well as newsletters and it will get your email from another site and deliver it to you on Eudoramail. This is handy when you travel and still want to access your main account with your home ISP provider.
Summing up, it's free, easy to use, has options and less spam than some other free sites.
